NBA live was fun to play. Even the last one they came out with (NBA live 19) was actually decent. I used to go to it when I got tired of 2K putting out the same game. I'm just glad 2k is finally making changes to make the game more realistic.

Watch this if you ever get a chance. This 2k content creator shows how the game is pretty different and more realistic this year. And he actually plays the game how 2k is supposed to be played, versus people who just spam left and right dribble moves smh

It's been a year and basically I just woke up one day and the poster had gotten banned, so I really don't know the details. But I think the mod on the other board called him/her out for trolling and it became some kind of fight and escalated to a ban. I dunno. He/she was a very odd duck but I wish him/her well.

2k15/2k16 (cant even remember which one now) was the peak of the franchise. Ever since then, it has just been a **** show.

I will not buy NBA 2K25.

That said, I think the franchise gets a little too much hate because of the microtransactions in the MyPlayer and MyTeam mode. If you just avoid these modes altogether, you can still play season and franchise modes, which are really good. Also, the gameplay and graphics are phenomenal. It's just a shame that the gaming industry is now built around the microtransaction model.

Video games haven't been good for almost 10 years. It seems like the graphics are obviously amazing but the gameplay sucks. Why is NBA2k14 still the goat? Why is Madden 06 better than Madden 24? NBA Street Vol 2 is more than 20 years old and still the best basketball video game of all time.

Saying 2k15 was the peak is wild considering they downgraded from 2k14. That era wasnt peak 2k at all. 2K11 was at it's peak. That's the consensus GOAT. But it sounds like you never played that one which is a shame.

I'm not disagreeing that they haven't been a **** show. I would get pissed at the products they would put out every year. But last year since they introduced Pro Play has been a big change gameplay wise. They changed the dribble engine this year for the first time utilizing Pro Play and the dribbling looks way smoother and fluid.

They literally added Ant's signature pull up J in that clip which looks pretty damn identical to real life, which is why mad people are impressed with the new technology. But idk you think 2k15 with barely any dribble moves and unrealistic jumpers is peak 2k so I guess we differ. Each to their own.

The new graphics look great. I wish they would update the myplayer mode so you can disable the story. I just want to have the power trip of playing as myself and upgrading my player over time instead of just creating a player to insert into the "eras" mode.

They copy paste the games from one year to the next with new gfx assets. What they did with MyTeam this year is one of the greediest things i've ever seen in any video game.

I buy this horrible game every year. But for all the time the spend on all the microtransaction stuff, 2K leaves some of the legacy stuff untouched and update the rosters and that'll be enough for me every year I think.

They need to fix MYteam. The CPU D on a game mode that features rosters full of superstar players takes all the fun out of the game. But yeah, I already pre ordered the HOF version. The NBA league pass yearly subscription that I get every year anyways was a big selling point for me.
