Yeah, if Vando shoots at a decent clip , say 36%, then the defense will have to respect him.

Vando’s energy and D is top notch so hope the practices have helped, esp at corner 3.

Last year Vando shot 35% from the corners, but only attempted about 1 corner 3 per game.

Vando gets open 3s.
He needs to shoot more and have confidence in it!

Nahhhh..

35% from open corner 3s is a terrible percentage. It's not something to get excited about. 45-50% EDIT: from corners is the norm for even reasonably decent shooters.

Bad shooters shooting more is BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD.

So every other player on the court has to be elite on d while also being a top 3pt shooter, to win with LeBron and Davis?
So basically build a team that could compete with me at starting Pf, and you may have a shot with the guy that just ‘dominated’ with team USA?
I mean not that I disagree, but at what point does it start to seem a little silly to be talking about competing this season?

The starting SF should be a player with untapped potential that needs PT to develop…. The kid with the brightest future 2-4…. Use this time of ersatz relevance to find pieces for the future inevitable rebuild.

What we should do, but won’t because we don’t have a a FO with the balls or talent for it.

Best possible line up Is

AR, Max, Knecht, Bron, AD

Most of us are hoping for a Max break out year and If Knecht Is as NBA ready as many say, we should be fine

Insert DLO off the bench along with the others, we got this...

Pre season 1 month away Isn't?
My Go Team
Magic, Jordan, Pippen, Duncan, Shaq

My Counter
Stockton, Kobe, Bird, Rodman, Dirk

We got a .500 team, is what we got. And that's assuming everything goes well. And I underline Knecht, because it just goes to show that a guy who hasn't played a lick of NBA ball is in your best line-up. Very telling about the state of this team. Oh...and a guy who averaged 4points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist....on something like 42% shooting.

If our coach is actually decent, and not just a pretty face....annnd....if Lebron somehow doesn't deteriorate.....annnnd...if AD doesn't go down with another injury.....annnnd.....if our rookie signing turns out to be amazing.....annnnnd....if this 3rd-year nobody comes out of his shell, and has a breakout year.....annnnd....DLO contributes, and puts in defensive effort.....we're in great shape.

Love it. Vegas sure doesn't. +3500

Just trying to spare everyone the heartbreak when in 7months we're hovering around .500 (again...that assumes no injuries) and the playoffs are slipping away. We wasted a great opportunity here this offseason. Totally wasted.

That’s if you believe there ever was an opportunity…. Nobody wants our pieces, or if they do, they’re not offering an improvement for them.

No matter what Lakers do we/Lakers not winning a champion ship at least not this coming season, not unless we get some sheer luck like celtics and everyone Is Injured In the playoffs and we are fully healthy...

Might as embrace on what we got and and enjoy the ride while we can.

I hear it. By missed opportunity, I mean we should shopped AD while his stock is high. Got picks...and began our rebuild. I'm not so sure AD has half the trade value next offseason.

I think there will still be people putting this on the coach next offseason...although at least some will have figured it out after our 3rd coach doesn't make much difference. And with our team missing the post-season (or BARELY squeaking in)....I think there will finally be large masses coming around to the "rebuild" idea. And they sure will be bummed when AD's value just doesn't make for a good rebuild anymore.

What ride? This team barely made last postseason. And it's prob not gonna make this one. We're completely middle of the road. And not particularly interesting to watch. What we should be doing is enjoying the 2nd year of our rebuild. Or at least enjoying the start of our rebuild.

Chances are low but never count out Bron and AD with a smarter coach, if we stay healthy!

Updates on youtube say Vando not quite ready ... He shouldn't start especially at the start of the season, play in some minutes sure, but off the bench.
