This is what happens when owners are no longer committed to shelling out that $$. Let's see what happens to the Cs in a year or two.

We can afford both jays for many years, while we probably won’t keep everybody after a couple more seasons, they have been taking much worse teams far every season. I think we’ll be better off than other teams. Look back at the teams the media forgets the jays were leading to ECF, season after season. Sure, we had big names, but never when it mattered in the playoffs.

With a chip win(s), it could boost the Jays to lead those “lesser” teams to victory after our juggernaut is done.

I was delusional about those teams because of the Jays (Smart), but when I saw the names recently all I could think was, HOW?

That Denver team is better than some of the Celtics ECF teams with the Jays. Chile, remember the IT4 teams? Jokic has enough for at least WCF!

In the context of winning a chip and not just a bunch of ECF appearances, I think we need more than just the Jays. Same with Jokic + rejuvenated Murray + Gordon. They need more, esp in the West.

I don't want to just go far. I want to keep winning titles lol.

Wish I had money to open such a bar in the Philippines. I think it'll be a hit for NBA fans.

Let me have a final word on the NBA vs the Celtics of 2024:

People keep saying that Celtics 'didn't beat anybody' on the way to the Finals in 2024...

But when you think about it:

Jimmy Butler didn't want all that smoke... Miami lost to the Celtics 4 consecutive times during the regular season, lol he knew the only way to maintain his 'Playoff Jimmy ' reputation was not to play...

Donovan Mitchell f****g quit on his team to 'prepare for free agency' lol, after getting trounced DECISIVELY in GAMES 1 and 3. HE knew he couldn't win, and he QUIT.

Halliburton was literally played off the floor and f****g embarrassed ('yes sir!' LOL) by Jrue Holiday and Jaylen Brown in the end of Game 1...he quit too...to spare us from a full-on shaqtin-a-fool Halliburton playoff highlight reel...lol

Luka was fat and red faced, and got effing blown out in the Finals by Tatum's Celtics, who Tatum WILLED to VICTORY (seriously, he made all the damn plays he needed ... the stats don't show that). That puts Tatum in the top 5 over Luka, IMO; and given Tatum's past playoff wins over Giannis and Embiid, TATUM might be the best player in the game...RESPECT!

...

I personally think that with the killer bench additions of Scheierman and Lonnie Walker, a WELL-RESTED Tatum and Brown are gonna shock the NBA, assist-rebound-and-scoring-wise, in 2025.

Jokic, better watch out....someones coming for that MVP trophy....

Former Celtics who retired from playing pro ball in the past 12 months or so:

Gordon Hayward
Aron Baynes
Mike Muscala
Rajon Rondo
Kemba Walker
Blake Griffin
Avery Bradley (last played in 21-22 season. But never officially retired..and in April 2024 was hired by Jazz as VP of Player Development)

There might be others too..kind of wild that all those former Celtics retired at basically the same time..

Maybe Wanamaker? I think the last time he played pro ball was 21-22 season as well.

IT still trying to play pro ball

Tristan Thompson got signed for another year with the Cavs..thought he was gonna possibly retire..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

100% totally agree on the first section. Nobody wanted any part of this team whatsoever. Def hopeful of the second lol.

Yay, more replays/stoppages. Why can't they just do this automatically using whatever technology's available now?

I'm hoping this actually speeds stuff up. In the Kyrie example they could have quickly called the foul and not had to figure out who touched it last from 75 angles. Either way it was a pretty lame loophole previously, but yeah definitely hoping it adds no length to those reviews.
