Agree it's an overpay. Murray's a very good player, but he's not max level. So many people try to make it out as though Denver was some super team when only Jokic is the regular all star, All NBA and future HOFer. Jokic is an all time great because he's the one who can lift the team to greater heights. Calling Murray a sidekick is a bit much.

Not a single all star appearance for Murray because while he can explode on certain nights, he lacks consistency.

He's one of those unique players that isn't a regular season All star but it a post season All star. He averaged like 27 on great percentages in their title run and was great in the playoffs from bubble year to championship year. He most definitely was a side kick as he was the clear number 2 option and played a lot of 2 man basketball with Jokic. Jokic definitely makes him better, but Jamal has learnt the skill of playing off Jokic better than any of Jokic's teammates in his career. There are certain guys who won't get regular season accolades but are better when it matters, when most players see dips in their averages and efficiencies in the post season. Some exceptions to this rule, were Jason Terry being the second option on a championship team as a bench player, Zach Randolph who had a small amount of all star appearances but was absolutely dominant in the playoffs. Sheed to some degree would fit this mold. Those are some off the top of my head.
