Soccer officials from the United States had multiple meetings with Jurgen Klopp as they searched for their new manager. Klopp had recently exited his position as manager of Liverpool after eight seasons with the club. Klopp decided he needed a break from the game as he had originally intended.
The United States eventually hired Mauricio Pochettino in the role. Pochettino had left Chelsea at the end of the 23-24 Premier League season.
