He's said this before too. I respect the confidence, even though he's obviously wrong.

He still hasn't gotten over being traded away.

Kawhi:
18/19 Playoffs On Court per 100 = +8.9 On/Off per 100 = +16.7

DeMar:
16/17 Playoffs On Court per 100 = -8.9 On/Off per 100 = -13.1
17/18 Playoffs On Court per 100 = -9.3 On/Off per 100 = -19.9

Ironically, being a dummy is exactly why he could never be a key part of a contender.

Can you really blame him? He gets told directly from Masai that he isn't being shopped during summer league and then gets traded out the blue. Then we win our first ever chip in the first season he gets traded.

He helps lead the Spurs into the playoffs his first year and then spends his last two there in the lottery. Then signs with the Bulls to lead them to a 15 game improvement and back into the playoffs only for injuries to Lonzo and LaVine to side track any sort of momentum in his last 2 years.

I definitely respect his confidence but 2019 DeMar is a worse player than the one we seen last season and even that guy is levels below 2019 Kawhi. Even if the boogeyman was now in the West, Jimmy would have ate his breakfast, lunch and dinner in the 2nd round.

He kind of has to think/say this, but it also seems kind of sad.

Nothing but love for DeRozan... but realistically we probably wouldn't have won without Kawhi, regardless of LeBron going west that season. Not only was Kawhi our best offensive threat and clutch player, but he also guarded the other teams' best player... At least 2 of those attributes, being clutch and ability to guard the other teams best player, are 2 abilities DeRozan couldn't have replicated.

He's on his book tour. I'll let it slide.

Butler would have taken him to school. We would have lost to Philly in 5.

I like him as a person. But he never showed up in the playoffs with us. And got torched on d.

Would've been a tough series first round against the Magic.

Everytime he speaks about his time with the Raptors, I get reminded why he’s never done anything meaningful in the playoffs.

Dude is delusional. I was a fan when he was a Raptor, but he needs to let it go. You were traded for one of the best players in the league, there's no shame in that. The NBA is a business, every exec would have made the same move.

Never seen a Demar interview that isn't about him and Lebron

Unfortunately there was mountains of evidence to the contrary. Would have loved to see him and Lowry win one together but it wasn't going to happen without a guy like kawhi
