Brewers/Giants Series

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Sep 8, 2024 9:08 pm

Starting a stretch of @Giants, @Dbacks, Phillies, DBacks

Tuesday - 8:45 - Civale vs. Birdsong
Wednesday - 8:45 - Rea vs. TBA
Thursday - 8:45 - Montas vs. TBA
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I kinda feel the Crew are taking their foot off the gas a bit. Just seems like some of the roster decisions (Hudson down), lineup choices (Sunday’s for sure) are setting up to rest guys vs making sure they win. And I guess I’m good with that BUT also don’t want to limp into playoffs too much. Offense OPS in September is pretty rough, so maybe we’re finally hitting a wall. I don’t know. At least we’ll be in the playoffs for sure and glad built that big lead.

We can never seem to get hot at the right time, it's always a month too early.

Turang’s home and away splits are interesting. .773 OPS on the road in 279 PA’s, whereas it is .573 at home in 268 PA’s. That is quite the difference.

Really brutal for replay to say that's not conclusive. "ball beat the runner" is still an advantage as long as a human gets to set the precedent with the first call.
