That temp feels WAY worse in SD than it does in Phoenix.

It was so humid AND 105+ on the day I posted the first thing. When I moved here there was almost no humidity. Crazy how much it's changed in 20 years.

How much time until we watch and discuss games instead of charts?

I bet Sacto gets to "real" playoffs this year someway, somehow. Vibes seem good, and replacing Barnes with DeRozan is an enormous upgrade. Personally, I'd like to see the Kings do well next season - just a very likeable team and fanbase, and not a lot of luck recently.

Since I'm making a prediction - when do we typically begin the predictions thread? I'm jonesing for some bad hot takes.

Only 24 days until our preseason opener with the Lakers in LA. Between the Olympics and WNBA, I feel like time's really flown this offseason.

Since I mentioned predictions, here's one:

Tyus Jones will break out this year. What that means in terms of media hype/awards and money, I don't know. But if we can manage to keep him beyond this season, he might establish himself as our point guard of the future and take Beal's spot in the hierarchy. I could see the second half of his career being much better than the first - like a poor man's Steve Nash, at least in terms of his effect on the team.

I won't take credit if I'm "right" on all that because I didn't give a second thought to Tyus Jones before we miraculously scooped him up. I recall bw saying nice things about him. Grizz fans know how good he is, and couple years ago when the Grizz were on a tear, r/nba knew as well. Big assist numbers while leading the league in A/TO is a big deal. I hope Bud gives him the ball and the minutes to crack top 5 APG, but we'll see.

Diakite is a 6'9 (with a 7'4 wingspan) PF/C who has nice mobility for his size. Decent touch.
27 years old.

He was a rookie with Budenholzer and I think he will have an actual opportunity to grab the final roster spot with a non guaranteed guaranteed contract.

Doubt it. He's probably a training camp body. The guy has 169 career points and 127 career rebounds in like 4 NBA seasons

I couldn't find a thread regarding the new Suns Head Coach, but here's some of his schemes and plays from his final year in Atlanta.

He's good. Be nice to him...he's had a rough last few years.

With the signing of Marcus Morris the Knicks have on their roster these five ex-Suns lol:

Cam Payne, Landry Shamet, Mikal Bridges, Keita Bates-Diop and Marcus Morris.

He's just a solid guy ball handler/decision makers who can shoot and is exactly what our team needs because one of our biggest issues was turnovers, and he rarely turns it over. Between him and Monte Morris, that should make a huge difference if there isn't too much iso or other guys wanting to be primary ballhandlers too much.

I have really liked him for a long time and thought he would be perfect to take over after Paul to play next to Book. Those Grizz days, when Ja was out they were 18-2 with him starting. I remember how much you liked Ja and had compared him to, said he'd be better than, and of course their team didn't have nearly as high of a ceiling with Jones as Ja obviously, but he's a great PG to have, and he wasn't really surrounded by stars when he was playing and led the team to 18-2. Maybe some time with JJJ and a rookie Bane (can't remember if he was there yet or not).

Should we do a poll of which ex Suns player on the Knicks people here like the most? Nah, I guess not necessary.

Duh, it would be Landry Shamet in a landslide.
