Thanks for dropping Brock Bowers, btw.

Did he have a big day? I don't trust Minshew enough to keep him.

He looked good. They run a lot of 3 or 4 TE offensive sets, but he is the main one that gets the ball. He looked solid, especially for a rookie. He had the most targets and most receptions. Him, Adams and Jakobi Meyers all had about the same # of yards.

That's why if you drafted Christian you should have drafted Mason in round 12

Yeah, I looked him up right after you got him, but got Bowers then. I am not sure I would have played Mason though if I didn't have McCaffrey. I guess you had Aiyuk though and probably subbed him in at the last minute when you found out McCaffrey didn't play.

I actually really wanted Breece Hall with the #2 pick expecting McCaffrey to go 1, but when someone took Hurts at #1 I felt I had to switch to McCaffrey.

A calf/Achilles is not something you want to mess with. Which is why I went out of my way to avoid McCaffrey this year.

How did you go out of your way if you had a later pick?

He was on my do not draft list. I phrased it the wrong way.

I can't believe they are listing Jordan Love as doubtful so I am unable to put him on IR.

I've had him before, and usually stay away from injury prone people but his #s were so good last year it was hard to pass up, looking at it during the draft.

So if you had like the 7th or 8th pick and he was there you would have passed?

He always has some kind of minor thing. He didn't practice this week. Charbonnett will get the majority of the work.

They are now saying he had his worst day yesterday. It seems they should have known more about this during training camp. Sure, they may not want teams to know, but achilles was never mentioned until last week when the injury report came out. It was just a "sore calf".

Maybe you can trade me Jordan Mason for something decent given you may only get another 4 games out of him (or potentially less if McCaffrey doesn't go on IR).

What would that be?

Fwiw I intend to keep him. But I'm always willing to listen.
