Or. We try to incrementally improve while giving our guys experience. Not everything has to be all or nothing.

You are right. Not everything has to be all or nothing. The team can try to incementally improve during the first 3 quarters. Then tank the 4th. That way the players get their experience and the team get a high lottery pick, and I get to watch real high-end talent next year, Win win win.

Seeing as this is the chomche thread. We can give chomche 38 minutes/game to incrementally improve to his hearts desire! That's what it's all about right?

That lil hop into your jumper is key, by all accounts he is smart, which bodes well for a rapid development which seems to be taking place. He looks so much better than before even the pre-draft process

I would love to see us play him in the NBA this year. Maybe not 38mpg, but would be nice to see him be the first big off the bench

We're not (or at least shouldn't be) at the point where winning takes precedence over development, so let's get some losses with purpose, instead of winning some meaningless games.

Yep, he's raw but he's not raw like a deer in headlights kid playing a man's game like when Bruno was drafted. Bruno cried in summer league after getting dunked on by some dude named CJ Fair. We all saw Ulrich at this year's summer league and he held his own and showed potential. Just needs to continue to get those reps starting with NBA pre-season, garbage time at start of the season than with the 905. Bruno didn't get that in his first season...but after a while he turned out fine ( way better pro basketball career than CJ Fair at least  )

Favorite player that we drafted period. If I had to put money on any of the guys we just drafted becoming a high end starter I’d put my money on him .

Agreed. I am shocked he dropped as far as he did. On draft night I was suggesting to my friends that we should be picking him as high as the Mogbo pick.

Pre draft I didn't really think too much of him, he seemed like a young, raw, mobile big from the footage that I saw. But after seeing him in SL, and seeing the things he was able to do I'm just ultra excited to watch him grow as a player. Sky is the limit for him in my opinion.

We all do lol

He just has that "feeling" or aura around him like his development will become almost the X Factor for how good the team will be in the future. I don't even mean that like he's gonna be a star...I think we still need to get that 2nd (or 1st option) next to Scottie through this upcoming draft. But I just get this feeling like Chomche becoming an elite defender & anchor to the defence would be that final move/piece to really make the team a true future contender because IF we had another star to elite wing, the franchise would really have majority of the pieces the needed to have a fairly complete & balanced roster of shooting, scoring punch and of course the defence is what separates the "fun" team from the real contenders.

Chomche has the physical tools to be a special defender but IF he is in fact a quick learner as they claim, he can and hopefully will actually be one. The speed & length is almost the ideal prototype for today's game. There's just something about his physical gifts and even his story (a real life prince lol) that makes you feel he's gonna be something...I don't think it's anything around Giannis but I do think Ulrich has the potential to really raise the ceiling of the team and I just get the feeling he will do it....unlike Bruno lol who I honestly never got that vibe from and always felt more like a deer in headlights even just his personality whereas UC has a confidence about him & seems to have a belief in himself that I trust that it's gonna work out with him. Even if it's not stardom, I just get the feeling he's gonna end up being a damn good/incredibly valuable player long term ie/ like OG, Pascal but at 6'10+ could be a serious difference maker which ofc as basically the last pick of a weak draft would an unbelievable steal. I could be dead wrong lol but that's just what my gut is telling me in the moment.

I ain’t never seen Bruno do anything remotely as exciting as that block and full court dribble even tho he missed the dunk lol.

It all depends. They'll use different coloured shirts for a bunch of reasons in camp. Sometimes it's starters versus bench guys for a scrimmage. Sometimes offence versus defence for a specific drill. And other times, it's just to keep groups of guys together for individual skill sessions (big men, guards, etc.).

Happy people found a player to like, but the guy looks like he is only 6'10 and even looks smaller than Bruno Fernando. He has some average tools to work with, but we can all dream.

Expectations should be realistic. His most likely outcome is inconsequential bum that’s out of the league in a few years. If he becomes a consistent bench big that would be a huge, rare Masai win.
