I'm glad they added Collin Johnson. He never should have been cut. He had a good preseason and we can use a WR with height in certain situations.

Bears 7.0: 2024 Season thread
Figured we'd probably cross 100 with game day today so a good time to break thread since there probably wasn't deep discussion going on. Copied over the last page of posts to keep more recent discussions active.

After begging for him to play, I’m ok if Hooker sits for a few. Still a big fan but he’s not there yet. Lol

He's essentially a more raw version of Taylor. Situational pass rusher right now, no reason for him to play over Taylor. That being said, he has potential to be more well rounded.

fwiw - Bears past opponents..... the Titans O-line and D-line are dominating the Jets. 11 first downs to 1 (16 total yds for NYJ)... but then a stupid Levis fumble happens and the Titan's momentum waffles........and then poof, back to back turnovers by Levis and Jets go right down the field to tie the score.

Clint Kubiak has the Saint's offense looking unstoppable. They are sustaining long drives and cashing in with TDs against Dallas. I wanted the Bears to pursue him this past offseason. Waldron needs to do better with the weapons the Bears have.

I wouldn’t say he “struggled” based on that tape. There was one play he didn’t read too well and couldn’t or didn’t get off his block. Another was kind of bad, but again the gaps have to be filled. He can do better, but not sure about the struggle word

Anyone else leaning towards Keenan being cooked? Reportable is much heavier, has multiple injury issues already and was poor last week. Unlikely for game 2.
It might be a very short stint in Chicago unless things turn around fast.

Brock Bowers with 9 catches for 98 yards today as the Raiders upset BAL, which is now 0-2.

Packers and Vikings both win today, but Lions lose to Tampa.

Getsy put 26 on the Ravens defense in Baltimore. That’s doing the job, although I don’t know the circumstances

No, he had over 1,000 yards last year. He is going to be more susceptible to injuries at his age though. I didn't see anything last week that looked like he was losing a step though.

Nabors also with a big game, 10 catches, 1 TD. Jayden Daniels had a nice game too. Justin Fields playing well statistically so far. Bears need something from their rookies today to keep the doubters away.

And perhaps more importantly, this is a contract year. He'll do whatever it takes to show he's worth some of that money being passed out to WRs now a days.

Had a TD called back for some reason.
….if Williams has a typical, struggle filled season and fields is just average. Chicago will burn down

I wouldn’t be too frustrated since they weren’t really options for us but what is probably gonna get under my skin is bowers. We could’ve traded down and still gotten him

Nabors and Harrison are both #1 options for their teams- they are going to outproduce Odunze.
