Good. What doesn't work in College will work in the NBA and he probably showed in pre draft workouts that he has more range. Future HOF'er.

DC spaces the floor, protects the rim, screens at an incredible skill level, rebounds at an elite level and is one of the better passing big men in this draft class.

So
Good

I'm all for OO getting the start over Capela at Center. It's overdue. But we should have upgraded the backup Center spot by now too. With guys who feast on all the easy shot attempts/lobs Trae feeds his big men.
Spoiler:
Kel'el Ware
Don Clingan
Yves Missi
Goga Bitadze
Jalen Duren

Would all have been solid options backing up Okongwu for the 2025 season.

There are other higher ceiling Center Prospects coming out next draft class, but man -- Ware falling to #15 in a weak draft feels like a missed opportunity.

To be fair...Kel'el does NOT have "Hawks DNA".

This is the kid I'm looking at the hardest from this 2025 Draft Class...I suspect he'll be available for that Sacramento Pick in the mid teens.

I'm scared. Wanted him on Hawks big time

Our frontcourt is going to look small playing MEM with Edey and JJJ :noway:

Edey next to JJJ feels like the perfect match in a front court.

He's not one of the giants coming into the NBA this year, but Asa is one of my favorite young big men prospects in next year's draft class.

I don't know much about him.

But Rocco seems to be a name to watch over the next 10 months.

It's amazing how many skilled >7 foot big men have emerged since Victor Wembanyama took over the basketball world.

Edey, Clingan and Rocco will keep him from totally dominating in the paint over the next 20 years.

Rocco is my early fantasy draft pick for next draft. A quicker way that I would like to change the front court is trade for Kessler, then draft Rocco. I would love to add both to the team

:D

Hawks found a great center prospect and will send him to the Skyhawks with his two-way contract. Dominick Barlow didn't cost us anything. Signed him as a free agent. Keeping an eye out for this young man.

I think by December 15th when Zeller becomes trade eligible and is moved (if he isn't released prior), Barlow gets the call up.
