I'll give one to Kraft, he was laying some lumber blocking out there.Treebeard wrote:Packer game balls today? goats(small g)?

Myers puked on the ball, then snapped it to Malik on third down. Shocking Malik didn't fumble that.

Didn't even see the size 1 font until I quoted this to make a witty, clever left-handed joke. Dang.
Also Willis is black.

Honestly incredibly impressed by their effort today. The final was 16-10 but we dominated them. The gameplan by MLF/Hafley was awesome and it was executed really well by essentially everyone not named Quay. I doubt this gameplan will work a 2nd time but to steal a W while Love is out is super helpful. The defense was much improved from a week ago and that's the most encouraging thing to me for the rest of this season
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Quay hardly even looks like an above average athlete to me right now. Is he banged up or out of shape or what? He's not improving at all. Seems like a textbook case of squandered promise. Wilson and McDuffie were basically salvage finds, and they're both more impactful than him. I'm assuming that Cooper will pass him soon, too. He kinda sucks. I'm starting to hope that they cut bait sooner than later.

We put up with AJ Hawk for years, for an eternity really, and they'll keep Quay for just as long. We don't know how much he was asked to do in the last scheme w/o decent linebackers; now within Hafley's defense he can be used in new/different ways *with*/a decent crew in Hopper, Cooper, Wilson, McD-- we'll see em all. Looking forward to seeing *how* they'll be used

What a great win. So happy for Malik, he seems like a fantastic dude-- sharp, matter of fact. His evident high intelligence paired with his athletic ability, not surprised Gutey took a liking to him.
I was a little worried about Jacobs after last week, so also great to see him show out. Defense as well. Just a feel good W.

Anyway you look at it, get a W with a backup Q (especially a guy who just arrived and he's not a seasoned vet) is just a huge accomplishment.
MLF with a brilliant plan to play that run game almost to perfection for most of the game. I loved the end arounds and short throws and letting the skill position guys make things happen. MFL put Willis and that offense in a position to succeed. On the few throws Willis made, most were with guys NFL open and that's MLF scheming them open.
Overall that W need a lot of credit to the HC. Of course the players did their part as well.
Cannot say enough about the D either. 3 turnovers and some great stops throughout the day.
The colts are a bad team, but this was a golden opportunity for them to grab a W when their opponent is playing a young backup who's only been in town a couple weeks and has never thrown an NFL TD in his career. That's just wild.

One of the few times I've ever seen "playing not to lose" work. Props to Hafley and the defense for making Richardson uncomfortable all game. LaFleur was pretty darn close to getting absolutely skewered this morning.

Yeah, MLF largely called a masterful game, but yikes, not even trying to pick up a 1st down on 3rd and 6 to ice the game (or at the very least get in manageable FG position to go up 2 scores) was certainly a choice. As was not even attempting to do anything with 1:42 remaining in the 1st half and all 3 timeouts. Thankfully the defense came up with crucial stops.
