Operation Consolidation
Propose the best possible PG (plus any other assets, but PG is a must) for any or all of:
Jalen Suggs
Cole Anthony
Jon Isaac
Moe Wagner
Goga Bitadze
Garry Harris
Ill make up to 2 R1 picks available also, for a star player.
Player must be 2-way or at least having shown capability at both ends. Must have 18+ppg 5+AST potential/productivity. Playoff exp a big plus.
Who you got GMers?

FVV if Houston thinks that Sheppard is ready? Coby White?

At his contract and age, FVV doesn't have a lot of value. Rockets probably declne his option next offseason, so he'll be a free agent. Or, if they pick it up, he'll be an overpaid expiring again, either way I don't think Rockets should expect any big return for him.
Coby White is definitely interesting, but I don't know that Bulls would find anything in this list enough except for Suggs, which Magic surely won't include. Magic picks after a trade should be expected to be in the 20s, so not a lot of value either.

Whether Jeff Weltman would include him or not, I AM!!!!
Suggs is on the table for this exercise.

looking at the list of names in the OP, Orlando wouldn't be sending a lot of value, so this probably has some merit.
investigate Adam Silver

Re: Operation Consolidation
So itt we learn FVV has no value even though he's kinda exactly what the OP is seeking yet we have a poster suggesting he's more valuable than Suggs and 2 first round picks to balance that out.
Love the extreme takes....

I though FVV would be awful on HOU and I will eat crow at this time.

Re: Operation Consolidation
Whether they're available or not, how many PGs in the league actually fit the criteria of 2 way player putting up 18/5? Very very few.
It seems to me the vast majority of the league starts PGs that are below average at defense, and they hide them on the 3 and D wing of the opponent that can't do much else on offense.
Who would fit here? Murray, holiday, paul...?
A good to great team defense(that Orlando seems to have) goes a long way in hiding a mediocre on D PG. If you want one that can do normal PG stuff, you're generally not getting plus D. If you want good D, stick with Suggs

Re: Operation Consolidation
I wonder if Sacramento would be open to moving Fox if the team doesn't take another step this year and they worry about losing him in 2 years. Maybe something revolving around Fox + small salary for Suggs and Isaac.
Orlando gets their point guard of the present and future that can carry some of the load while their young pieces continue to grow.
Sacramento gets 2 good complimentary pieces that they could have under contract for the next 5 years along with Sabonis who is under contract for the next 4. They can cover for some of Sabonis' defensive weaknesses while his ability as an offensive hub could cover for some of Sugg's limitations as a point guard. They could also get out of the tax I depending on the other piece included.
Just spit-balling ideas. Not sure if this is a deal either team would do or what may need to be added. Flame away.

I don't see anyone suggesting the latter, just saying that FVV has value (in response to the poster who said he didn't).

Re: Operation Consolidation
FVV is a good fit for Orlando but i imagine it would need to be a 3 way w/ a star heading to houston who adds additional value. Houston also needs to consolidate and is trying to win

Re: Operation Consolidation
Lots of takes here age like fine milk but people often forget. FVV went through this situation a while back on the Raptors, he didn't get a lot of interest in the trade market, and there weren't a lot of suitors in the free agency market either, it just so happened that the Rockets needed a culture change and they were willing to do a short term overpay. Next season they'll have to accomodate Reed Sheppard and Amen Thompson (their backcourt of the future IMO) plus maybe Jalen Green (probably not though) and plan ahead a lot of rookie extensions (Sengun, Jabari Smith, Tari Eason, etc). I don't see them picking up FVV's team option beyond next season, with everyone they'll have to pay, nor do I see a robust market for him except maybe as a free agent. But a lot of people love to day dream, so sure, go for it if it makes you happy.

Pritchard?
What do we think Payton would be like as a starting lead guard? What would a deal look like? Orl would have a hard time sending Suggs to the Champs...
But PP could be a nice fit...

Yea, that's not how this works.
We aren't looking to trade FVV, we like him, he want him on the team. His performance last year was on par with or better than his all star year in Toronto.
His contract, having a team option, is not bad at all. There are certainly scenarios where he can end up staying in Houston. It's also very possible we renegotiate his team option into a pseudo 3 year extension, at a lower AAV, that declines. Houston may end up trading a number of pieces for a star, and thus not have the logjam they do now.
If another team wants him, they would have to overpay for him.

You're confusing reality with your own day dream, which would require a pretend scenario where some team desperately wants to get FVV and Rockets are reluctant to part with him. That never happened even when FVV was younger and on a better contract, it isn't likely to happen in the future. PG market is oversaturated (for reference, Tyus Jones signed for the vet min) and an overpaid, 5'11" 30 y.o. isn't likely to be the kind of asset any team overpays for.

entire front office would need to be fired if the deal was Suggs for Pritchard plus some worthless picks.

He works hard. Really good passer and amazing range. Handle is legit. He is a bit smaller than you would like but he tries on D and is not terrible.
If the Cs are looking to trade him it would have to be for a single player making less salary. (2nd Apron)No one on the OPs list fits the bill.
Would you give a highly protected FRP for him?
