Americans volunteering to aid the war effort in Ukraine is quite common actually. Not sure what this guy did, but if he had any military background ending up in Ukraine does not necessarily make him a spook.

Yea def not because of that, a lot of people volunteered for sure. But check the video out… there’s a nice little nugget in there that makes it interesting.

Definitely interesting theory but IDK about this whole following the CIA lady thing. Why would the CIA use a public source as a way for handlers to contact their operatives... That sounds like the opposite of secure. And as an operative, why would you agree to making this public? If random twitter guys are able to figure that out, wouldn't the intelligence community figure this out like the moment they pulled up his name?

The shooter's story is pretty wild though and nothing really adds up to make any type of sense so I get why there's so much speculation.

I find it annoying that we can't talk politics unless it's about Trump.

Politics are bigger than Donald Trump. It's not the other way around.

Donald Trump is a significant reason why U.S. politics is so **** right now. Everything wrong with politics, Trump has either influenced or has his hand in. This is obviously bigger than the U.S. as well but this thread is on a U.S. issue.

Yea I was thinking the same thing. That’s a dumb move, but I dunno, it’s either not real or it’s confirmation that agencies/gov are dumber than we think. I know politicians do dumb stuff all the time on social media but I’d expect more from CIA.

TY. I'm doing much better. I was more worried for my mom.

She also had what the doctors believed to be bronchitis and/or a sinus infection. Tested negative for covid. I ended up getting sick and thought I just picked up a similar virus. My mom ended up getting symptoms back. This time, covid positive. I then also tested positive.

I'm more hopeful for the winter. Americans tend to take flu season and the colder weather more seriously than the warmer seasons, including my dumbass.

I hear you, I hope she'll be alright

I tested negative for covid too, and ended up getting diagnosed with bronchitis, they gave me a steroid to open up my air ways. Something is going around and it's not good.

Speaking of Ukraine, I couldn't help but notice that NATO is casually giving the Ukrainians the green light to start letting off long range weapons deeper into Russia and not just drone squads. Seems like a lot hinges on what happens in November.

Putin probably didn't think this all the way through.

For some time now Putin has been hoping to end the war by reaching a settlement so Russia could keep captured territory, but Ukraine is not having it.

The recent incursions into Russia have rattled him.

Ukraine has to hold on with the hope the Democrats win the WH and gain control of both houses. If that happens, Ukraine should secure from America and NATO the resources necessary to win the war.

Yes, our election may determine the fate of Ukraine and Eastern Europe's security as a whole.

If you want to see some wild espionage type stuff, Israel intercepted 3,000 pagers shipped from Taiwan to Hezbollah and implanted explosives in them. After they were distributed, they set them off and killed 11 Hezbollah and injured 2,700 of them. That's crazy

Yeah I saw that. That was nasty work by the Mossad. Those are the last guys on Earth you want hunting after you, you're probably better off getting beaten, kidnapped and taken to a CIA black site.

Imagine having one of those pagers in your pocket at the time of detonation

Again, this is kind of the issue when it comes to sports

There is just not sufficient data to say how much if any advantage trans women have. There's also simply not enough trans athletes to have their own competitions. It really is simple, just let them play, gather the data, and see where it leads. That's how science works

And again, I defer to the experts on the issues of when people should be allowed to transition. I don't study this stuff, but they do, and they have their recommendations. I'm not 100% on what the exact guidelines are regarding age of consent, but I trust them on the subject. And I'm not gonna pretend like my "common sense" gives me equal or better understanding of the process than experts who study it.

But it would get to here eventually. Y'all gotta stop romanticizing Republican politicians as being mostly sane people, where we are now is a direct result of past Republican leadership and the choices they made. If Trump goes away, not much changes. Best case scenario is they revert back to the W. era types and we have 10-15 years before they go full mask-off again.

Yeah McCain was not some saint. He was better than the scum running the GOP now, but he had a lot of dirt on his resume all the same.

Let's not forget who let the crazies in the door. McCain made a conscious decision to choose Sarah Palin as his running mate. That was the beginning of the end of the GOP of the 80s-00s and the start of what would eventually become MAGA.

When John Boehner abruptly hauled ass in 2015, that was a cry for help. He knew what was happening, did enough to make Obama's life hell and then retired to the private sector knowing full well the party was about to burn the country down.

They're all complicit in Trump's rise and the fall of the GOP towards fascism
