An ice-cold Heineken in front of a game is another solid contender. Reliable and trusted, albeit unremarkable.

Ouch. That's a big boi mountain.

I hiked Mt Ellinor in the Olympics last weekend. Rainy AF but a lot of fun. But it likewise wrecked me.

Elinor is such a cool mountain. I did that one a couple years back the week before they removed all the mountains goats. Though the views were terrible that day - it was socked in. Hopefully you had better weather.

Now I'm hot under the collar! I had really wanted to see mountain goats.

It was pretty socked in for me too. There were a few peekaboo glimpses of nearby features, like Mt Washington. I did take down about 15 lbs of king boletes (porcini mushrooms) though.

Also, Chanel and Pinot Grigio is a classic summer pairing.

I'm not trying to earn any points with my Jamaican friends, but I tell all of them, between an ice cold Red Stripe and an ice cold Heineken, I'm taking Red Strip 10/10 times.

When they beg to differ, I inform them they are victims of marketing. Heineken kind of sucks.

I've had Heineken on tap in Amsterdam and it's wonderful. I don't know if it's green bottles, old beer, a combo, or whatever. But that **** is easy to drink over there.

Magical

The taste is subtle unlike most ciders. So it's super refreshing, and you can have several in a row without noticing. Great summer drink. Give it a try if you can.

weihenstephaner hefe weissbier, Smithwicks, and really any hazy ipa. Really love the Kane Head high from this brewery in NJ.

Edit: forgot to mention three’s brewing and grim. Both are really good breweries in Brooklyn. Singlecut is pretty solid in Astoria too. Also a sucker for long trails blackberry wheat beer but that might be a nostalgia thing from college.

I'm going to have to look up that long trails. Hardywood in Richmond Virginia had a great Blackberry wheat but it's nearly impossible to find outside of Va

I really enjoy how how they're able to curb anxiety and I'm able to be present to enjoy life when I microdose. I also haven't been truly depressed in awhile either.

I know some people don't enjoy it. It messes with memory a bit. Or they feel more anxious on em. So they might not be for everyone. But I've truly enjoyed the experience.

Long trail was a Vermont brewery at one time. Always get confused whether them or magic hat moved out of Burlington but I’ve seen them in liquor stores in NJ before.

This place in NJ I get some crafts, they make giants themed beers. This one is a bit strong but can’t hate that it’s named after Giants destroying the undefeated season.

I stop by once a month and stock up on their lower ABV beers
