"I am everything Pat. "

Giannis replying to Bev says everything to me, re: Bucks not finding a way to pay him more. That's a mistake. Hopefully Delon can mitigate the loss some.

Giannis needs to keep his nose out of the financial part of the bucks dude obviously doesnt kniw wtf hes talking about.
Exactly how could they give pat b more ill tell you what giannis why dont you do what brady did all those xs in the NFL take a big pay cut to give the team more flwxibility to sign people.Didnt brady do that like 4 years in a row.
The fact the bucks were even able to sign prince wright n trent shows you how good horst is.

Being a great player starts with, as you rightly say, keeping his nose out of attempts to notify colleagues and coaches that "[He] is everything." Not a great recipe for winning ball. Even Michael Jordan started winning titles _after_ recognizing Bill Cartwright's cutting advice was the only path forward.

I can't wait for camp to start so there's something other than insane Giannis takes to read around here.

Thought the Bucks paid Giannis as much as they could (the max). Which you have to do. He's great! Probably the best player on the team.imo

Only since he managed to drive his big brother out of town.

Character matters, but Giannis was an impressionable youth and Jason Kidd the Animatronic Root Vegetable was his coach. Some things you can't outrun.

Even at 36, Pat Bev would still be on an NBA roster for this season if teams didn't have to put up with his antics and looming suspension. And as much as I love Pat Bev the player, 6-teams in the past 4-years speaks for itself.

That is SO true. Even Michael Jordan had to be brought down to earth by Bill Cartwright to play team ball before he started winning championships. It's like some fans think it's tennis or something and haven't ever played the game.

Is this referring to Cartwright's claim he told Jordan he'd break his legs if he didn't stop telling people not to pass to him in crunch time? I am not super familiar with the 90s Bulls apocrypha.

I'm not totally sure about that. his numbers arent great and declining compared to his twolves days. what's the upside on a guy like that even if he wasn't a dick?

Time is undefeated, but Bev's numbers last year were not substantially different from where they've been the vast majority of his career. At some point he's going to be useless, but he was a worthy starter for us last year and I didn't see anything indicating that he's physically deteriorating in a way that would make him totally unworthy of playing time.

I think we offered him what we could and when he wavered, we got a younger guy who was willing to sign right away.

The main thing we lose with Bev leaving is that guys like him are kind of a human defibrillator who can give a spiriting team the jolt they need to settle back into a regular rhythm. Of course, if you use a defibrillator on a normally functioning heart...

I could see a situation where he comes back after the deadline after we've made a consolidation trade and he gets released for undermining the coach or something.

Bev is the exact kind of player you want for the last 15-20 games plus playoffs, not the whole season.

This right here!!
Before Giannis there was just losing bball even when we had good teams in the 80’s we never could get past the Celtics or 76ers. Giannis is still arguably the best player in nba with jokic you have to go all the way back to Kareem to have that. I am expecting a great year by this team!
