Nets Sign Killian Hayes, Tyrese Martin

The Brooklyn Nets have signed free agent guard Killian Hayes and forward Tyrese Martin. 

 

Hayes (6'4", 206) spent his first four NBA seasons (2020-24) with the Detroit Pistons after being selected by the franchise with the seventh overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft. In 210 career games (145 starts), he holds career averages of 8.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.2 steals in 26.1 minutes per contest.

 

Martin (6'6", 212) spent last season with the Iowa Wolves, the NBA G League affiliate of the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he averaged 17.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals over 35.1 minutes per game across 33 regular season contests (28 starts).

Detroit already tried this and it hasn't worked.

Never been a fan of Hayes but hope it works out for him as a Net. Low risk move.
