Once the bottom dropped out of selling people's data, Google stopped pushing fiber everywhere.

Astro Bot was my game of the year for 1 week. Now it is UFO 50.

In case nobody chimed in and you’re still on the fence, I would recommend playing the entire collection. The ending will hit a lot harder if you’ve played through the entire journey IMO. They’re all good games and being linear single player stories, you can get through them quicker than you might think. First game is a little wonky but it improves immensely from there.

Was in Iceland for the week and missed the discussion but re: console and PC, I am definitely passing on the PS5 Pro unless they show something far more impressive than that presentation.

I grew up on PCs but went to console with the original Xbox. Finally got myself a new PC back in 2020. Used my father’s connection to get a $1500 PC at the time for $900. It’s still fine for games like Siege and older games where I have the graphics turned down anyway to try to maximize performance, but it struggles to run basically any of the newer demanding games that my PS5 runs beautifully.

Thanks, I'll probably check it out after finally going through Half-Life Alyx. I just finished Dragon Quest XI and was pretty underwhelmed so wanted to jump around genres a bit before getting back into a longer RPG.

Started Space Marine 2 today, so far having a lot of fun with it. Has some Gears feelings to it but just a fun run and shoot and melee game.

I've been playing Elden Ring again since Sunday afternoon. This is, at least, my 8th time on a play through. Was just looking for a time suck while football was on. Already at the very endgame (not including the DLC) but I've found myself farming too much for no good reason.

A friend gifted me Rogue Trader, the Warhammer-based CRPG from Owlcat. It's a lot of fun from the perspective of playing a CRPG with guns, and the skills and classes are cool without feeling Pathfinder-levels of overwhelming...but oh boy, is Warhammer itself overwhelming. Utterly lost and not sure I have the mental bandwidth to jump into another universe that big.

That's a long winded way of asking if Space Marine 2 is also like that :D

To answer your question, not at all. Just a good four person shooter campaign with big guns, gore filled melee, and a story that can be picked up by anyone. Honestly, if I didn't know any better I'd have thought I was playing a Gears of War game. Pretty mindless but fun. Shoot, counter, parry, melee, throw grenades, explode barrels haha tons of swarms of enemies and bigger bosses.

I didn't expect much and that delivered what I expected.

8a-5p: Work, thinking about my factory
5p-7p: Run and dinner, with intermittent epiphanies about my factory
7p-10p: Work on my factory with minimal efficiency
10p-11p: Oh **** I ignored being a functioning adult
11p-7a: Dream about my factory with maximal efficiency
7a-8a: Contemplate how to fit in more time in my factory

This is the most addicted I've been to a non-ARPG in several years.

Satisfactory looks awesome, but my brain can not handle that much critical thinking right now with everything going on in life. I will bookmark it until the holidays.

Factorio is about to release an expansion in a month or so.

Personally, I think it is a far superior game to Satisfactory.... Although both are great.

Factorio was not for me, but I get the sentiment and I know that game totally clicks for a lot of people. Satisfactory has a lot of the same notes for me that Cities Skylines does that make me love it so much: I get to make things pretty (and Satisfactory is gorgeous), and it's super chill (no base defense aspects Factorio has). No stress, no time urgency. Exploring is a blast too.

I never play with enemies on anymore in Factorio.

They just get in the way of me building huge.

Read on Twitter

Some good deals. I've been waiting for River City Girls 2 to go on sale and it's 50% off in here. I'll be picking that up.
