Vikings Leadup

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Sep 22, 2024 10:03 pm

Minny is playing great, no doubt.

Need to cleanup penalties on the offensive line.

Love expected back.

No other injuries that I'm aware of.

Noon game, CBS telecast. They have the main doubleheader game, Chiefs/Chargers. Packers/Vikings should be moved to the late window imo.

Packers open as 3 point favorites.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I hope we don't get Kevin Harlan because he's really gotten pretty annoying as an announcer.

He been rotten but he does manage to fit in all the sponsor tags when they're supposed to.

Basically, he the Mike Greenberg of announcers.

Hopefully Love has a full week of good practice so he's not rusty come game time. This is a big early test and important for the divisional race.

Need to clean up the flags on offense. The texans had an even higher amount than we had on Sunday and were constantly playing behind the sticks. While very impressive this year, last time we played Flores's defense Love lit them up pretty easily, so we'll see. Should be a good one with how they've been this season.

Love didn't play very well in the opener, will now have sat 3 weeks and will be playing with a knee brace. There will be plenty of Queens fans at Lambeau, it would be great to jump out to a nice lead and quiet them down.

Darnold apparently tweaked his knee yesterday and is getting an MRI today.

It's Harlan and Trent Green on the call for this one

I don't care if the radio is out of sync with the TV coverage - Larrivee, McCarren, and Kuhn for me. Of course they're homers. But they're our homers.

No structural damage to Darnold. He's expected to play Sunday.

Good I was worried about him when he collapsed yesterday. Hate to see that.

PFF Line Rankings

7. Green Bay Packers (No change)
Projected Week 4 starters:
LT Rasheed Walker
LG Elgton Jenkins
C Josh Myers
RG Sean Rhyan

RT Zach Tom

The Green Bay offensive line put together another very impressive game in pass protection in Week 3. The unit surrendered just three pressures — including no sacks or quarterback hits — on 25 dropbacks, leading to a 94.0 PFF pass-blocking efficiency rating, which ranked fourth in the NFL.

With rookie offensive lineman Jordan Morgan inactive, Sean Rhyan played all 63 snaps at right guard against the Titans. Rhyan’s 71.3 PFF overall grade ranked second among Green Bay’s offensive linemen.

Best player: Zach Tom
Tom has yet to allow a single pressure this season, and his 84.2 PFF pass-blocking grade ranks second among right tackles — behind only the Eagles' Lane Johnson.

I get people are frustrated with the penalties but there is actually very little correlation between penalties and wins/losses. Specifically despite the penalties Rasheed Walker has still been really good
