NYK trades: Keita Bates-Diop and 2025 DET 2nd rounder (does not convey if between 31-55)
LAL trades: Christian Wood

Why for Knicks? Obvious: shore up the center position.
Why for Lakers? Open up minutes for Jaxxon and some minor cap savings.

Christian Wood just underwent knee surgery the beginning of this month. He won’t be reevaluated until Mid November, so he’s likely out until Mid December?

Wood won’t do anything to help the Knicks shore up the center position while Robinson is still out.

I feel like they'd be better off kicking the tires on Hassan Whiteside, Dwight Howard, or Bismack Biyombo.
