They need to make things cheaper for consumers, this **** is getting out of control.
I know America is built on capitalism, but this is an example of the rich getting richer, when they could use some of that profit to make things cheaper for their fans.

Or help some of the causes they talk and talk about

With the new TV deal, wouldn’t the yearly cap increases negate impact of the contracts of Embiid, Maxey and George in the long run?

Really?

I think the contract is fine. He's a player that deserves it and is well worth it.

His body isn’t going to hold up 5 more years.

If they get three more MVP-caliber years out of him before his body breaks down, that's a win. They have a title window open now and they need all hands on deck.

They had real promise but had a couple big losses in personnel

Of all these moves letting Butler walk is the only thing that really mattered. Now, to be fair, our view of Butler has changed since he took the Heat to two finals. But looking back, Butler + Embiid would have been the best 1-2 punch in the league over the past 5 seasons.

Now you can make the argument that Butler hit a different level under Spo in the Heat system. Or that Embiids inability to stay healthy would have doomed the team in the long run. But it's clear letting Butler go was a huge mistake.
