Impressive season for Duran. The triple was previously a weapon but has been in steady decline for decades now. Somehow this guy had negative defensive WAR last season. Go figure.

Getting to 50 doubles, 15 triples would be special.

Kikuchi doesn’t even pitch for the Astros in the playoffs. What an absolute steal of a trade by Shapiro and company.

Blue Jays front office thinks home runs are overrated though. Never underestimate the power of the 3 run homer.

The decision to not reverse this safe call was one of the most blatant riggings I've ever seen in professional sports. Absolutely disgraceful. And of course, Chisholm scored on the very next AB.

The replay centre should be located in a neutral city, not **** NYC.

I'm fine with any combination of no Yankees/Dodgers.

We traded Teo for a trash middle reliever and some people still spend most of their time whining about the time we traded a backup catcher for one of the best outfielders in baseball.

Make it make sense

A reminder that just last week, our brilliant GM declared that power bats are overrated. I'm so glad we're going into another off-season with this talented FO.

It was a bad trade to be sure, unless Adam Macko saves it some day, but a team ought never trade a starting power bat, even one heading into free agency, for a controllable receiver. Controllable relievers should be developed internally, and this has been one of the organization's biggest failings. Think of it, if not for Romano having been returned after being lost in the Rule 5 draft, there has been minimal internal development under this regime. Swanson acquired by trade, Green and Garcia were free agent signings, well above the $$$ cost of a controllable reliever. Cabrera and Little were waiver acquisitions. Zach Pop via trade along with Anthony Bass. Trevor Richards via trade. Adam Cimber via trade. Ryan Yarborough via trade. The only homegrown reliever of any note - excluding guys who only came in for a few games - was Nate Pearson. Tim Mays was from the previous regime.
