Maybe there is no 'bad guy' but a bad system that people try to utilize most for their interests.

My main takeaway from today's events is always get it in writing, kids.

He said it was because of a lack of on field opportunities and has nothing to do with NIL which tracks and seems fairly normal. Markus Allen & Skyler Bell are recent examples of guys at Wisconsin who decided to pull out early enough in the season to maintain their redshirt and enter the portal.

He's 4th on the team in carries so any interaction with NIL for this one would have been really weird.

It's definitely a bad system. But there was also seemingly a verbal agreement between the school and the player and one of the sides broke it, whichever side did I would classify as the "bad guy"

We don't know the whole story so who knows if there was a verbal agreement. Which, is an important life lesson, get it in writing.

Either way, system broke.

I agree we don't know the whole story so we can't say for certain who broke their word. I think there is ample evidence that somebody did though

But yes the system is garbage, we can all agree on that

honestly, I'm surprised they couldn't keep it in house. if it was a grey area, you would think $100k for a QB that could get you to the playoffs would be a no brainer. That's why in the court of my mind I kind of feel he was pushing for more. but who knows. it's basically minor league football now with no tradition or sense for building a program. We aren't playing teams like Minnesota every week where we have 70 year rivalry, nah we are playing some team from southern cal.

There's really nothing in college football I enjoy more than The Mario Cristobal Game.

Those refs wanted to get out of Miami in one piece. No way that was indisputable, IMO.

Shouldn't have been called a TD in the first place. Fail Mary vibes.
