That's my silver lining with this is that we can move for someone better. Cool.

He's a better fit with Brunson and he's way more valued throughout the league. For example if you want Giannis down the road if MIL goes down the tank with that old team. MIL wants KAT way more than Randle.

Sure he is a better fit offensively but he isn't going to help on D. He is terrible.

he sure isn't a great defender...he is a much more versatile defender than Randle. KAT when he was playing center was blocking a shot and a half a game. This move shows you the knicks had zero faith of Randle playing small ball five since he has no ability to protect the rim.

randle could be an awkward fit and no I was not ready to pay randle max ….KAT has size and will not ruffle feather is dominant offensively but be deferential …his defense really shined this playoffs

If we're going to hold Randle to his last playoff series, same needs to be applied to KAT. You're only as good as your last playoff series and he got punked by a two players that are making a faction of his money.

1. KAT is CAA and is from Jersey

2. KAT had a few good playoff series before the finals. In fact he played darn well vs Jokic

3. KATs defense last year was actually pretty good by many metrics.

4. KAT can play the 4 or 5.

5. KATs fit with Brunson is excellent. We now potentially have 40% or near 3 ball shooters 1-5.

6. Randle has had 0 good playoff series this may be an upgrade.

7. We just brought one of the best big man coaches in the business from detroit. He didnt come over to coach an oft injured Mitch Robinson. This has been in the works for a while.

8. Ayton stuff was probably leverage to get this deal done.

9. We keep McBride who is the better defender over DDV tho 3 team deal might bring in Kessler or Richards for McBride.

10. KAT can be soft and make stupid fouls but Randle was clearly a flawed star too.

11. 4 years of KAT is probably >> 1 year of Randle. Team is locked in.
