Poop.
Randle shrivels up in the playoffs way more than Karl ever did.

The sooner he turns into a former player the better.

Randle is quicker on his feet than KAT, so i look forward to playing with him in nba2k25.
I've played as KAT before, and his slowness made him a bit boring to use...
Plus i like Randle's body!

Not many games to go by, and his shooting wasn't good, but his scoring wasn't bad and his rebounds and assists were good!
2021 Playoffs... 18.0ppg 11.6rpg 4.0apg .298fg .333threes (5 games)
2023 Playoffs... 16.6ppg 8.3rpg 3.6apg .374fg .258threes (10 games)
He won't be asked to carry us in the playoffs offensively or defensively, so very different here with ANT, McDaniels, Reid, Gobert etc.

Re: The Julius Randle Thread
Interesting fact: Randle has been dealing with the same problem as Towns - how to co-exist with non shooting big (Mitchell Robinson). As result Towns completely abandoned his post up and mid range game and struggled mightily as slasher. Towns has been one of the worst drive-and-kick passers, often turning over because of hooking fouls. Randle's progress has been having mixed results as well: a lot of turnovers etc. But there are some big differences:
First, Randle did not abandon his postups. As results he has been playing through advirsity, learning how to beat double team and move the ball.
Second, Randle passes are different, because he is really aggressive scorer, he attacks the paint, as result he has been one of the best kickout passers in NBA among bigs:
Vast difference between long, sling passes Towns likes to throw.
Finally, Randle not an ideal fit here next to Gobert. But is physical, fast (for a big) and aggressive.

few players hurl higher-velocity passes better than Randle does

So far this season, 79.8 percent of Randle’s potential assists (a pass into a shot that makes or misses) have led to 3-pointers, according to Second Spectrum. Of the 112 qualifying NBA players, that percentage is second in the league to two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, a 3-point-creating machine.
Only four big men have generated more points off of their assists this season — and the group is so decorated that if you had only four chances to guess them, you might pull it off: Nikola Jokić, Domantas Sabonis, Joel Embiid and Draymond Green

He’s gonna have to have a nice year to win me over and maybe resign for a reasonable contract.

Randle and Ingram are two star players who did not get contract extension in similar situation. I suppose this is new CBA effect.

Randle is a lefty passer. Often he sets a screens, gets mismatch and quickly postups opponent and make kickout pass.

Re: The Julius Randle Thread
I wonder how playing a really physical enforcer next to Gobert can be beneficial for MIN. If Julius can be unselfish and play under control, while still bring toughness it might give us a different dimension. He has some similar issues as Towns: he doesn't box out consistently, lazy in transition. But if he is locked in, he is a good perimeter defender, dangerous offensive rebounder, very creative and aggressive post scorer, he runs in transition. I hope Finch will find ways to get the best out of Randle.

Any guesses on how Randle will be used on the Wolves this year? What do you expect his role to be?

Similar to the KAT role really.

And when you compare that to his regular season stats, that's terrible. C'mon "coach".

Kat had zero ability to facilitate anything. Just a bone headed dude that proclaims himself as: "the best shooting big man of all time."
First of all, that is my gripe with that guy. Let your career play out. You have been injured a good number of games, haven't played good defense, have an ego.. I'll shut up now..
Our starting 5 could actually benefit from a guy like JU.. our half court offense is stagnant at times, need to mix in someone like him. Ju just may work out..
