Re: Julius Randle appreciation thread
he has had 2.5 fantastic regular seasons which helped putting us back on the map. thanks for that!
tho, I am honestly really happy that we didn't extend him. And Kat is just a better fit with his spacing.

Omigod, puhleeeze, the same tired song and dance. Stat chose the Knicks when nobody else would, he's a saint. Melo wanted to be in NY, he's a hero. What kind of schmaltzy horsecrap is this?
They all got paid a king's ransom to play here and if they were popular with Knicks fans or not is everyone's freedom of choice as a fan, not something you get to litigate as some kind of generic indictment against a whole city because some of us didn't slurp Randle like he was a god for coming here.
He's a good basketball player who had giant flaws, some of which irritated others more than it might have concerned you. You don't see anyone telling you to not praise him, do you? It's a two-way street. You're entitled to love him and shower praise on him, just don't tell a whole community they are ungrateful rat bastards for their opinion about a player.
I'm glad he's gone. None of your business if you don't like it really.
It’s been the same since the Pat Ewing days, the fanbase don’t appreciate you til you’re gone the end result is still the same, no wining.
This franchise and fanbase is historically and habitually disloyal and disrespectful to players who have the balls to take on the challenge, you may not think that has any impact on success, but the results are still the same.
And all these fans that think we’re headed for some championship run this year and ready to dethrone the Celtics or the best of west are headed for a helluva disappointing season.
But go on and wave your pom poms for Towns and see where that gets you.
You're just being a random chit talker now. Sheer utter nonsense.
This fanbase showered lots of love on Brunson, Hart, Donte because they were always ready to leave it all out on the floor. I don't see anyone holding back on their praise.
And you're a hypocrite, because you're littering this thread with posts now calling KAT trash and a disgrace which illustrates your issues:
You're acting like a bitter Randle stan who is now going out of their way to drag down a player the moment they join the team.
You just don't like KAT. You don't support him. Well, fine that's your prerogative, but that also means if you're going to be wilding in here like a **** about everyone not supporting your guy, then you don't have a leg to stand on if you go and do the same to the incoming Knick. Talk about not living by your own supposed code man.
Just STFU already
Yes, I’m definitely sensitive to Randle slander, he was completely unappreciated by the fanbase despite consistent and massive yearly improvement and taking this franchise out of irrelevancy with him and the lack of loyalty for players who have to take on the NY challenge is a pattern I’ve seen among the fanbase for years and one that coincides with our inability to build a consistent winner.
They didn’t even give this team a chance with Julius and Donte and I thought the advantage we had with chemistry (which I put a higher premium on than most) iis nullified now with these moves this offseason.
I do find it comical, though, that you come in here taking everything personal like the self appointed defender of the fanbase. GTFOH Don’t come in here talking tough, hurling insults, like you got some personal axe to grind with me just cause I’ve ethered your f*ggot ass more times than I can remember.
I’ll take Randle over Anthony-Towns for this Knicks squad, he’s tougher, more durable, more versatile scorer, stronger in the low post and more built for this city. Everything you hated about Randle will be like 1000 times worse with Towns. I’ll stand on business with that.
So you and Towns can both go f*ck yourselves, honestly, since you riding for him so hard, we’ll revisit and six months and see how much better he is and the team is with him over Randle.

Y'alls tone in this thread will literally 100% be the reason Towns crumbles under the NY lights here, SMH. Booing your own team who wins 50+ games. But some of y'all won't trade Tyler Kolek in any deal SMH

KAT literally replsces Randle. OG becomes the power forward til Mitch is healthy then when he gets back OG slides back to 3 Towns to 4 and there are minutes for Hart as the 6th man.3toheadmelo wrote:Capn'O wrote:3toheadmelo wrote:Appreciate you gang. Leon a cold mf. He don’t care about fan favorites seeing how he been moving. If this makes our team better I’m all for it man.
Forget fan favorites. He traded Brunson's boy.
I wonder if Brunson still signs that major discount if he knew we was moving Donte. Hopefully this doesn’t create bad blood between Brunson and the FO. I thought if we ever traded for KAT, Mitch would’ve been in the deal. Really surprised they chose Donte.
DiVincenzo was going to struggle with minutes as the 7th guy.

It was a roller coaster ride with Randle. Stretches of brilliance where he carried the team and also the other side. He put in the work and became a really good Knick thru it all. Overall brought way more good then bad and helped build something here. Have to give him a lot of props and appreciation for that.

Dude crashing out cause he got caught posting on the pacers board and I posted it here so we can all laugh at you lmaoooo.
Me giving them a scouting report of Obi and saying good luck doesn't equal me 'cheering for Obi on the Pacers board' its normal to go to a teams board after a trade to see their reactions and sometimes give your input. But you always try to twist a story and lie so its to be expected of you. Now if you need some Oreos and tissues let me know, I know you've been crying all night.

Helped put the Knicks back on the map. A really good player. Was kind of looking forward to seeing him with OG and Bridges etc, but wasn't meant to be.
Hope he does well in Minny, except when they play the Knicks.

Always found Randle to be a bit of a nutcase with his sideline mid game mediation sessions and what not but you can't deny his talent. He was unstoppable at times. What matters most is that he wasn't a solid fit on this roster and I think he's gonna do very well next to Edwards in Minny.

Re: Julius Randle appreciation thread
Give credit to Randle. He chose to come to the Knicks after they struck out in 2019. Helped change the franchise around, and at the same time change himself. From a no-nothing role player to All-Star and All-NBA forward while in the Orange and Blue.
I wish him luck in Minnesota, and I will miss Kyden too.

Newsflash, d!ckhead, I am the fanbase, and as long as I’ve followed this team, I’ll be g*ddamned if I let you lecture me about how I express my fandom. Let’s be clear, there’s no smoke you can bring that I can’t stand, MF.

Re: Julius Randle appreciation thread
A lot of great times with him here but also a lot of frustrating times but the good outweighed the bad. From beyblade to all nba. Randle really grew up here and took on the challenge of New York and actually succeeded. Not many players could have bounced back from thumbs downgate but he pulled it off. Def going to miss him and don’t think we turn the corner as franchise without him figuring it out here. Now I gotta see when the wolves come to msg during the season cuz I gotta give him a standing ovation during starting line ups.

Re: Julius Randle appreciation thread
Julius soothed our wounds when KD and Kyrie dissed us for the Nets. He became "the" man here and could do whatever he wanted. With no one else in his way, he turned that into success for himself.
However, it's the other side of Julius that most will remember, and is why so many fans turned against him.
Throwing chairs, temper tantrums, knocking a computer out of a coach's hand in a fit of rage, sitting at the end of the bench pouting, almost coming to blows with Immanuel Quickley, being a traffic cone on defense, disappearing in the playoffs. I could go on and on and on...
Julius made us feel better about ourselves in the beginning. Then, he ruined it all with his bipolar antics.
It also didn't help that certain posters here went overboard with the homerism and often mocked us daily with predictions that Randle was here permanently. That tactic not only made fans on the board dislike him more but also made his trade that much sweeter.
So, thank you Julius for the good times -- but, no thank you to all the bad times. I hate to say it, but my TV screen will look a lot brighter without you on it.

I appreciated JRs toughness and will to play hurt.
I didn’t appreciate his bball iq and his tendency to go 1 on 3.
All in all he’s a talented player who has his flaws but he has earned every fans respect and appreciation for what he did when he was here. Good luck no handle.
