i'll give it a chance but he's the one guy i really really didn't want. it just seems like one of those trades that the knicks do that'll just screw it all up somehow.

But it's not like we gave up the future with this move. What value did a one year Randle have around the league just have to ask yourself that? And its not like a situation where you just want Randle to expire either with the new cap structure either since we can replace the contract.

It has its risk but the Randle situation was also risky. They are pretty similar player IMO but KAT is more efficient and can play some more 5 so the fit is better imo.

i don't think you'll get out of it though for the next 4 years if it doesn't work. that's the future you gave up. i agree that randle is not worth much. he was salary filler more than anything in this. but this is a guy who puts up numbers and is an all-star and the best they could get for him is donte divincenzo and a pick that will probably never convey. and he is gonna make like 55 a year now. not sure he'll have any value soon.

Towns has never had a bad NBA season. Cheer up.

This isn't true from everything I've seen, and I've been looking. In fact, I'd say it's the opposite - 90% are upset about it.

The vast majority response is sadness/upsetedness.

He was their GUY and they loved him as a player and person.

Imagine going to the WCF for the first time in decades. You have a rising star and might be face of the NBA, you have GREAT role players, DPOY level center, a 2nd All-Star who is willing to take a backseat for Edwards... fans should be thinking that their title window is 3 years.

Yeah, they are super upset. They feel that their window might've cut short because of the tax implications.

You're talking about another time period. We're in a new Knick century. Those things no longer happen...

Can't wait to see what he looks like with Brunson and under the tutelage of an elite coaching staff.

I doubt they re-sign Randle. This move had a lot to do with money.

it'll go down. there's some foreign guy who they have to buy out of his european contract and then sign and trade so that takes time. this guy is gonna get free money and then get to go right back to his team so he'll do it. anybody would.
