I don’t like KAT — at all. And he lost his job to Naz. All true. But he’s still a skilled big and has a chance to transform. I’m doubtful. But you know they’re never going to want to trade a top player, never gonna get fair value, some is keeping a salary slot. Ingram and pieces for AD. Gallo and Chandler. And Moz — we both whiffed.

Actually, I just checked. Turner can’t even be extended until the end of the season. Meaning he could potentially be lost for nothing. Because yes, he’s going to get ridiculous contract once he hits the open market as an UFA.

I mean I don't know about all this. Brunson is an absolute Dawg. Hart is junk yard. OG is lockdown with limbs. Bridges is a near elite defender and iron man. I think we're more than all right.
I just think the team identity is changing too much with a Randle for KAT swap. I always think back to last years playoffs in Cleveland when randle absolutely manhandled mobley during a late game free throw rebound. Bulldozed the hell out of that straw man and you could see in mobleys face he knew they couldn't compete with the physicality. That was on a bummed ankle too.
I don't trust KAT to be a physical force or intimidating presence. I don't expect him to crash glass, draw doubles, make the right reads and passes to our shooters. I don't expect him to be a secondary ball handler and relieve pressure for Brunson. All I expect from him is to space the floor and shoot 3s. I pray he surprises me.
