I think we should give RJ/Scottie/IQ a chance and not tear things down, I know team tank might be low on that trio, but I want to see what they do in a full season together then decide whether I'll be team tank afterwards. I'm personally high on Scottie/IQ a lot, and see Scottie as a future de facto number 1 but I can see why some are lower. We'll definitely need a number 2 sometime in the future, but I don't see why we can't get it with late lottery picks since we drafted our last number 2 option with a 27th pick. I'm fully expecting an All-NBA jump from Scottie and I could see Masai buying modestly (Bruce and a 2nd for Cam Johnson).
That's the thing though, very few people if any are asking for a tear down. And the best part is, our team is bad enough that you wouldn't need to anyways. The team is so thin that even a single notable injury will crush any hopes of winning, this team doesn't need to bottom out for years. A year or two dipping their toes into the bottom 5 pool would be enough, if we can snag even a single top 5 pick in the next 2 years, we are likely fine for the foreseeable future.
I don't think the core is bad, I think it is just ok, and we need another blue chip level player to make it a good to very good core. Anyone who is claiming people want a full fire sale are just being sensationalist cause they want to see us make a meaningless play in game.
