That shoulder injury was a freak accident though. Besides that, he’s basically been iron man for majority of his career. It’s not even close compared to KAT.

oh i agree, can also say that ankle injury the szn before was freak accident. my point being is **** happens.. all it takes is one bad play and poof.. whose to say going forward randle and his bully ball style is sustainable after dislocating his shoulder?

True, which is why I think the OG trade was the start of the ending. Mikal could've been picked up instead of OG and we'd have a lot of assets instead of giving up two good young players (at the time IQ was a great asset, RJ was a negative value guy who should've been benched) for the worst contract in the NBA by far.

trey murphy would be a very good get. he can play the 3/4.. that means were definitely leaning in to starting towns at the 5 then if we trade mitch for a wing

He’s gonna play like 15 mins a game with all of the wings we already have. We desperately need a rim protector next to KAT, not another wing.

I wouldn't put it past the Lakers to offer that...but I seriously don't think the Knicks would entertain that offer.

Now Trey Murphy is a different story. I think he would fit like a glove on the roster. He can play anywhere from the 2-4 in stints. But he is a really good player which I know you know.

It would signal the Knicks would just be going KAT at full time 5 which would be something. But there would also be no team that could match our shooting and we would be extremely switchable on defense.

I just don't see the NOP trading Murphy for Mitch...even though NOP is desperate for a center....the money would be really tough to match as well in that scenario.
