Man! After this move anything less than a championship is a failure, as far as I’m concerned

The 90s Knicks never won and people still love them

Just appreciate finally getting to watch consistentlygood winning basketball enjoy the ride and hopefully the ride ends with a trophy

90’s Knicks had at least some home grown guys we went through years of battles with, groomed and watched grow.

If we win in the next couple of years it won’t feel as good without our original crew of RJ, Julius and Mitch, IMO…. I’ll take it, but anything less is a failure in my mind

It’s been the same since the Pat Ewing days, the fanbase don’t appreciate you til you’re gone the end result is still the same, no wining.

This franchise and fanbase is historically and habitually disloyal and disrespectful to players who have the balls to take on the challenge, you may not think that has any impact on success, but the results are still the same.

And all these fans that think we’re headed for some championship run this year and ready to dethrone the Celtics or the best of west are headed for a helluva disappointing season.

But go on and wave your pom poms for Towns and see where that gets you.

You're just being a random chit talker now. Sheer utter nonsense.

This fanbase showered lots of love on Brunson, Hart, Donte because they were always ready to leave it all out on the floor. I don't see anyone holding back on their praise.

And you're a hypocrite, because you're littering this thread with posts now calling KAT trash and a disgrace which illustrates your issues:

You're acting like a bitter Randle stan who is now going out of their way to drag down a player the moment they join the team.

You just don't like KAT. You don't support him. Well, fine that's your prerogative, but that also means if you're going to be wilding in here like a **** about everyone not supporting your guy, then you don't have a leg to stand on if you go and do the same to the incoming Knick. Talk about not living by your own supposed code man.

Just STFU already

Yes, I’m definitely sensitive to Randle slander, he was completely unappreciated by the fanbase despite consistent and massive yearly improvement and taking this franchise out of irrelevancy with him and the lack of loyalty for players who have to take on the NY challenge is a pattern I’ve seen among the fanbase for years and one that coincides with our inability to build a consistent winner.

They didn’t even give this team a chance with Julius and Donte and I thought the advantage we had with chemistry (which I put a higher premium on than most) iis nullified now with these moves this offseason.

I do find it comical, though, that you come in here taking everything personal like the self appointed defender of the fanbase. GTFOH Don’t come in here talking tough, hurling insults, like you got some personal axe to grind with me just cause I’ve ethered your f*ggot ass more times than I can remember.

I’ll take Randle over Anthony-Towns for this Knicks squad, he’s tougher, more durable, more versatile scorer, stronger in the low post and more built for this city. Everything you hated about Randle will be like 1000 times worse with Towns. I’ll stand on business with that.

So you and Towns can both go f*ck yourselves, honestly, since you riding for him so hard, we’ll revisit and six months and see how much better he is and the team is with him over Randle.

Damn didnt know Clyde was crashing out in here too. Thought he was getting better at self control when it comes to hurling personal insults to people but I guess not. Some people just don’t change!

You could pick up the pieces and see I actually complimented you earlier for supporting the trade, but hi hello hope you're well and all that jazz

Dude was flaming the whole fan base and earned what he got. You were not doing that, so perhaps pick your spots next time, because you can find a better reason to pick a fight than to side with a guy who was crashing and totally out of line

Imagine liking Melo's tenure here and disliking Julius Randle's tenure here. Lol. "I liked it better when we didn't make the playoffs at all!"

Stockholm syndrome for being a bad team.

He had his ups and downs but there is no question the Knicks ended up in a better spot due to his contributions.

Julius was all in all a « very good » Knick and one of the few in the 21st century who mattered.

3 great seasons and 2 miserable seasons in 5 years. Helped the Knicks rise from the dead in the most dire context (a global pandemic). I don’t care much for individual accolades, but 3x All-Star and 2x All-NBA is a significant achievement for a basketball player, and one that he earned.

He was also infuriating to watch, and somebody who made it difficult to relate to. I never liked watching him play. There was no flair to his game. He was highly talented, but at heart he was a bruiser, who played with force as much he played slow. His game almost felt industrial. His charisma was non-existent.

He was nevertheless a great player for the most part.

He always received a disproportionate amount of hate from the fanbase here, especially when RJ and Obi were here. I disliked how the crowd was so prompt to boo him in his third season. I disliked how some fans stomped on his poster and raged about him on social media. I disliked how some went back-and-forth between chanting MVP for him, to booing him, to cheering for him, to booing him again, and to now pretending that losing him for KAT is the end of the world. Not all the same people, sure, but his career here encapsulated the insanity of the fan.

Randle did a lot for this franchise and truly helped restore its wider image. The Knicks came a long way from his arrival to his departure, and he was the constant (along with Brunson who came later). Just as with Melo, his work was incomplete, but his contribution was meaningful.

Thanks and good luck.

Thank you Randle for coming to the Knicks when no one wanted to come.

We had our ups and downs throughout the years but I appreciated your game and having you represent the Knicks in the All-Star game and making All NBA teams so us fans could be proud we had someone on our team representing the Knicks.

I will miss your bully ball toughness and grit and I think you and your game was underrated by most people. I will miss you I wish you the best in Minny.

He has it out for me too. I been telling him to stop quoting me for years but he still does non stop like a stalker. He’s actually crashing out in the KAT trade thread and writing essays to me and guano. It’s really weird. One time he even made claims about he knows what my career is in real life and how I should talk to people differently online based on that. I almost reported him for that. It was creepy as hell. Not surprised they took away his privileges of being a mod.

Stalks people? You're off your meds, woman. I don't even know you.

What Clyde said reminded me of that skit. That's all. No offense.
