I always found "TDS" to apply more to the people who are fanatically loyal to the most obvious con-man in history

I mean for f*ck's sake, the dude is out here peddling $100k watches and crypto

He lived in a literal tower with his name on the front in big, gold letters in a golden penthouse and sh*t in a gold toilet lol. Dude is the "coastal elite"

But when the cult members talk about the "coastal elite" or whatever, they really mean "the Jews". That's why they never want to go into any specifics about who the shadowy group secretly controlling the media and everything is, cause they think it's the Jews but they know if they just go around saying it, people will (rightly) call them anti-Semitic, so they gotta hide their true beliefs with plausible deniability

Conservatives have done this for decades, it's just a more advanced version of Lee Atwater's quote on the Southern Strategy where he talks about how you can't be openly racist anymore, you gotta dogwhistle so normal people don't catch on.

It's funny how they say they're for unions and workers' rights, but it's also never the right time to go on strike because it'd hurt the economy, and those damn greedy union workers need to shut up and be glad for what they're given.

Yeah I've seen similar sentiments because the union head is a Trump supporter (which is moronic for several reasons, but whatever) and apparently the timing of this is being done for political reasons.

I say it's irrelevant. Get to the negotiation table and come to an agreement. We just can't selectively pick and choose what labor groups to support because of how much someone is being paid and who their union head prefers politically. That's bullsh*t.

The ports need to be open and guys need to be working. You can’t mess around with that stuff.

As far as I'm concerned the only union that I don’t support is the police unions because they need serious reform and their behavior needs to be tied to their pension funds. They coddle murderers and thugs among their rank, so f*ck em

Yeah I find that most people who are scared of immigrants have never dealt with any and just listen to whatever Fox News or alt right media tells them.

Dudes literally wanna work, send money home and chill at the end of the day and people act like they're coming here to gang rape and steal.

Yet, the same people complaining won't hesitate to buy fruits and vegetables hand picked by immigrants at stores, or hire contract work that is done by immigrants

Iran attack soon? I feel they always send "gimmicky" attacks just to appease their people in the short term. Most of their support is done through proxies. But lot of reports are saying it's going to escalate.

Iran's always said they'd attack but never really do. But I do fear the day they actually do. Something just tells me they have reassurances from Russia, China, and/or Pakistan if they do.

Yep, markets just took a red nose dive after IDF reports that Iran has launched missiles

Mix this in with the port strikes, and I don't see how inflation is gonna stay cool.

Oil and commodities are spiking.

Speaking for myself, i have no problem with legalized and vetted immigration.

I have plenty of friends throughout life who immigrated here from (mostly) Central/South american countries, plus my cousin's husband from England if you want to include him (not sure if he's too white to qualify, although i can barely understand his thick accent LOL). I agree most immigrants (legal and illegal) come here to better there life. Most I've come across are hard workers and such and generally keep there head down, work hard, and try to make life better for there families.

I do however have a problem with illegal immigration with no vetting to make sure we're not bringing in bad elements from other countries (murderers, rapists, terrorists, et al) and who feed off our economic system without putting into it. I was conveniently ignored showing how many immigrants were let into this country with criminal records under Biden/Harris administration. I'll add the statistics below again for reference...

A large majority of peopel in my life feel the same way, and don't fall under this umbrella of "racist/xenophobic/whatever" terms that many on this board so easily throw around. IT's almost as it you're, gasp, stereotyping a large group of people (those who will vote right)...

Thanks for the report. Where do those registration numbers come from? Pretty much the rest of the country has seen a surge in voter registrations and it doesn't really favor the GOP. The big difference now is more people register as independents, but that means they already lean towards Dems statistically at present.

Also, why do you think there won't be a strong turnout? All elections since 2020 have had strong democrat turnouts and I expect that to continue now too.

As far as ground games, Trump dismantled the RNC and put his own family in charge to funnel fundraising into his own pocket. The rest of the GOP has been bitching about no funding for their campaigns. Harris has opened campaign offices everywhere and Trump has not.

The only reason I can think that Trump appears more ubiquitous in PA outside the Philly area is it is the one state Trump is fully focused on. He has weirdly bailed on most of the swing states already after Harris roared ahead of him in states like AZ and caught up to him in NC. Trump can't win without PA.

I've observed how badly polls have performed in the past four years in particular with the typical result of the Dems consistently outperforming the polls by big percentages. It doesn't guarantee anything, but if the pattern holds true there is a strong possibility Trump may lose almost every swing state. That would be an electoral landslide for Harris.

I'm not saying this will happen nor am I confident or relaxed about it, but I do not believe Trump is organized and campaigning well at all. You're the first person I've even heard say he has any kind of ground game.

It's in a spreadsheet, but the registration data is broken down by county and has party details.

https://www.pa.gov/en/agencies/dos/resources/voting-and-elections-resources/voting-and-election-statistics.html

And here you can see the registration numbers in 2020.

https://www.pa.gov/content/dam/copapwp-pagov/en/dos/resources/voting-and-elections/reports/voter-registration/2020-Annual-Voter-Registration-Report.pdf

Overall there are almost 200,000 less registered Democrats in 2024 than there were in 2020. Now this doesn't take into account the Independents, but honestly you never really know with them so I always make them a coin flip. I also acknowledge that there will be a group of republicans that flip on him, but the polling makes me a bit cautious about that. I agree Trump's ground game is trash and his commercials are a joke, but PA has been turning purple for some time now and the trend is still continuing. Unfortunately, he is benefiting from this trend. Overall, I think Harris needs to continue pushing her economic message in the area to drown out the Trump's fear mongering commercials. So far she seems to be avoiding Hillary's mistakes of pushing resources into places like Florida when she should be solidifying the blue wall. The Dem's have smartened up which is the good news.

On the flip side. I would bet money that she'll lock down both GA and NC, so PA won't really matter. The data in those 2 states is a bit tougher to dig through though.

Seems counter to reports of increases in Dem registrations overall. It kind of makes sense to me in an Ohio sense which is now quite red outside of most urban zones. PA could keep drifting in that direction.

What I have read recently is Harris is getting through on border control issues and now she's making headway on economic issues. Those are two key subject areas she needs to win more confidence on to get swing votes.

How important do you feel labor union votes are in PA? At this point, it does appears union workers who've voted red for multiple election cycles are flipping blue. Kind of easy to see why.

Ohio is a good comparison. Without any particular data in front of me I would still venture to say that PA union voters tend to be male and not college educated. This is Trump's money demographic, so if they are flipping blue I would not expect it to be at some overwhelmingly high rate. I want to believe in some great awakening, but there are people who wake up to Fox News, go to stores that have Fox News running, drink at bars with Fox News in the background, and watch it before going to bed. I've driven through it enough to get the vibe.

MAGA is heavy in PA, we just happen to have Philly and Pittsburg voters to help counter it. However to that point, Post-COVID Philly was extremely violent and regardless of blame, when Trump is talking about cities not being safe, I'm sure residents of Philadelphia are hearing it. I don't want to completely doom and gloom it though, it just does not seem to be trending well.

If the Senator from South Carolina had a problem with Nazis, he should start with the man running for governorship of North Carolina who also refers to himself as a Nazi.
