If I was forced to vote, I would have to vote for Trump as at least his lip service aligns better with my beliefs (not that I think he will deliver). I live in a blue state so it actually does not matter whether I vote or who I vote for.

I think you post a false dichotomy though, both parties are actively harmful. The dems have been running the country without a functioning president as if this isn't a problem for national security. Well, Saudi Arabia and Israel are tightening an alliance to counter Iranian/Shia influence in the middle east, and the USA is viewed as a partner in that.

In part, and Israel has always done stuff like this, this is an Israeli hedge against possible USA wavering, long term.
Like in the 80's, when Israel had a triangle arms trade with Taiwan and South Africa, two other countries that felt they could always run afoul of changing US political positions.
Of course, it could have all been a kind of con, where the USA was still the major supplier and this secondary trade created a kind of cover, but I recall it as genuine stuff that Israel explored and did at that time.

And of course, Saudi Arabia is the regional power with the most to gain by countering Iran, so the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

On the other hand, SA is run by a bunch of corrupt oligarchs, so Trump is no doubt very appealing, as "one of their own"

Who knows.

I don't care, other than maybe Iran and Israel start nuking each other so WW3 can get started in earnest.

I've read Denver Riggleman's book that covers some of this ground, and it's pretty damning, even when some information could not be published due to ongoing secrecy laws or ongoing trial reasons.
