People thought MU was gone before signing his current contract too.

Who knows what happens....but replacing him with a better Exec will be unlikely.

It's not necessarily replacing him with a better one but rather a quality one, which should be doable if Rogers wanted to go in another direction.

Sometimes even the best of 'em can be in the same position for so long, stagnate, and lose perspective. Believe that may have been what's happened with Ujiri last few years and why we are where we are. Because he couldn't let go when writing was on the wall and instead decided to double down on his faulty "feelings".

Personally I somewhat agree and he let Bobby do more while he focused elsewhere with some of his time.

But I think that has changed the last year and I 100% want MU in charge if he is making the decisions. To me, he should be given the opportunity to build this back up because I don't think you will find anyone better. In fact, it's likely Bobby.

I don't like Rogers as much as the next person here but if it eventually means that all Raptors broadcasts will be under one network then I will be fine with it. It's been great watching Blue Jays and know exactly where it will be broadcasted (except for those damn Apple TV broadcasts)

I blame that on Rogers for not negotiating a deal with Apple to broadcast those games.

Why would Apple do a deal with Rogers or any other local team’s network? The whole point of the deal with MLB is that those games are exclusively on AppleTV to boost subscriptions.

Bell negotiated with Amazon to have Thursday Night Football/NFL rights to show the games on Thursday night on TSN!

TSN has a separate Canadian rights deal with the NFL to show games (much like CBS/NBC/Fox/ESPN do in USA); they didn’t negotiate with Amazon (which also has a US rights deal with the league).

See the deal that Bell/TSN signed with the NFL as a Canadian rights holder included TNF.

I've been trying to go legit for sports but AppleTV Jays broadcasts, I f*cking flat out pirate.
I pay $214/month for my Bell 3GB symmetrical Fiber Internet & the Bell "better" Fiber TV Package.
I absolutely can't justify spending more for to just get like 10 games on Apple TV.
Same problem the Las Vegas Raiders game not a single one has been on any of my channels as of yet.
Can't justify getting NFL Sunday Ticket or DAZN. Raptors/Leafs almost all of the games are on all of my channels thank god.
and almost all of the Jays game are. For TV Shows & Movies I use : https://www.premiumize.me/

If anyone had any doubts about Ed's complete lack of commitment to winning, this should put those doubts to ease.

Winning a championship or getting to the ALCS gets you fired. 8 years of mediocrity earns you a lifetime contract with the organization. This is the Rogers way. Even if Ed doesn't renew Shatkins' contracts in 2026, he's prepared to let them fumble the Vladdy situation.

A year ago after the wild card game pitching fiasco, there was a hue and cry from fans and a lot of Toronto/ Jays media to at least fire Atkins. It's mind boggling he was given another year, the team got worse, and he still survives. I'm not enough of a hardcore fan to say this but it makes it hard to care about this team.

This is exactly what’s coming for the Raptors in the future. We just have to hope they either keep Masai, or trip and fall onto a gem of an executive. Otherwise we are so cooked.

Since he's taking over MLSE in a major position after buying out Bell, stuff like this is positive considering he's a putz

And where the hell are the championships Edward? Aside from Masai bailing you out with his elite drafting skills and ability to take advantage of a disgruntled superstar
