Turner cooked Brook, you didn't notice that? Did you watch the series?

We didn't win because Brook was forced to play, and the offense needed another ball handler. Dame was hobbled.

We lost the series cause gisnnis didnt play n as you said Dame was 30% if that.He has said he absolutely was hurting in that series but sucked it up cause he wanted to win.
If i remember didnt the bucks hold the pacers to their lowest point total of the season in 2 of those games.
Yes the bucks needed a xtra ball handler but more so thry win that series with giannis

We half-as$ed all regualar season like it was a preseason and never gelled as a team. No guarantee that Giannis playing automatically means we win the series. Just as possible that he gets frustrated by their D and our disjointed play and barrels them til he gets injured and still doesn't finish the series anyways.

And as for Miles Turner... if we had all fast defenders in with slow Brook... like we should... then someone able bodied hounds Turner up high... bet your a$$ if 2022 PJ was there Turner doesn't make more than 1 of those. Last 6 min that's the type of D we need.. not watch and hope they miss

Why in the world would Giannis be frustrated by the Bucks playing awesome D? If Giannis plays, Doc could bench Brook, and it would have been over for the Pacers.

As for PJs Bucks, you must have missed the Nets series when Brook got torched from 3 by Jeff Green and Blake Griffin. I seriously doubt you've ever watched the Bucks, you're just a Middleton troll.

If I was sure Doc had a system and plays, I'd be nervous Rondo is stealing them and sending it to the Celtics.

Giannis and Dame should have taken ballroom dancing classes together in the offseason.

Possible... or you're just cherry picking some moments because we WON that series so F J. Green and B. Griffin

Lot of good stuff in Dame’s Slam interview.

This part struck me too:

SLAM: What was it like to work out with David Goggins and how did that come about?

Damian Lillard: We had had many conversations over the last two-and-a-half years about getting together and training. And he would always tell me, like, ‘Man, I could take you to the next level as far as your conditioning and your mind.’ And I wanted to do it. It was just a matter of finding the time and opportunity that fit both of our schedules. And that time came this summer.

It was definitely a challenge physically. A lot of those exercises and conditioning drills that he pushes you through are a challenge. It pushes you past your limits. But I think it was more of a mental thing than anything. You realize how hard it is to do those things, and then he’s constantly demanding more. I walked away from it just understanding myself a little bit better, as far as like what you have to give. There were a lot of moments [where] I was ready to quit. And he didn’t say, ‘Just give me a little bit more.’ He was demanding a lot more when I had nothing left. He kept saying, ‘Don’t just survive, you gotta conquer it.’ And the fact that I was able to do that, I think it did change something for me mentally as far as when I feel like I’m breaking down and wearing down.

Hopefully Rondo is able to impact some of his defensive wisdom as well.

“It’s very exciting,” Rondo said of working with Lillard. “Especially when you compete against somebody for over a decade and then to actually sit back in a different role and try to help, I continue to say this, but it’s very humbling that he’s even open to have the conversations because he could be a different type of person where he doesn’t want to receive help. And like I said, he hasn’t been that way at all.

“It’s just been fun to watch him, kind of pick his brain because I didn’t have half the talent he did offensively. So I just try to share my thoughts on what I was great at with him and that’s obviously managing the game.”

Ultimately, while the example of Rondo loudly encouraging Antetokounmpo to run the floor may seem like a simple observation, it speaks to the building blocks the Bucks need to put in place at the start of this season and the things they failed to master offensively in the first season of the Antetokounmpo-Lillard partnership.

Doc: “But the problem we have is — and we’ve spelled it out for them — we have the guys that bring the ball up and then we have the runners. And we gotta get the guys who bring the ball up to understand when they don’t get it, they’re a runner and get them to see that. Like today, I thought a light went off (with) Giannis because every time Brook would outlet it to Dame, Giannis was still waiting and then Rondo yelled to him.”

I remember the defense against the Pacers in the playoffs, when Brook was off the floor, was phenomenal. Doc (Rex actually) can coach defense.

This doesnt refute the hypothesis that having just 1 of Brook OR KM on the floor at a time with 4 fast defenders isn't a way forward to success this year. It would be better to always have 5 fast guys .. but here we are.

Glad Dame came back in one-piece. Surface level, Goggins seemed inspirational but I came away from the reading his book that he is a self-centered, douchebag that is lucky he hasn't seriously injured himself. It seemed like his whole motivation in the Seals and Rangers program wasn't to serve his country or promote some kind of awareness, but rather just to be able to tell people he did the crazy boot camps. His training methods seem idiotic - running with limited water or training. And he seemed to never to take into account love ones when "following his dreams" often leaving his family to do something just so he could say he did it.

There simply isn't fast guys that have bigger impacts on lineups than Middleton. Being fast doesn't automatically make a player a good defender. Every statistical model supports the very simple idea that Middleton makes players miss. Plus, he's one the few rebounders on our team.

I appreciate the idea of building a better defense, but that will only happen by replacing the bad defenders, not the good ones.

Wait.. so do you really believe that KM can play defense better than the 3 FAs we brought in? Quickness isn't the end all but yes it plays a factor ... imagine playing 1v1 vs someone much slower that moves like he's 10 years older than he is.. what would you do? Just get him leaning the wrong way and you're gone or side step and free jumper, right?

If it's that easy, why doesn't someone do that against him? This isn't about what anyone thinks, you're arguing against substantial statistical data.

Wright is a seriously player. Prince is useless, every team he plays on is worse with him on the floor. A big part of that is because he's too soft to participate in rebounding. Funny how you call Prince an athlete but he can't rebound half as well as Middleton.

I'm fine keeping Pat as vibes guy or filler in a trade at the deadline, but unless he discovered the fountain of youth he should not be playing

My rigorous, extremely thorough, expert draft analysis came to a similar conclusion on Tyler. Giannis knows ball.
Prez wrote:Tight. Tight tight tight. Watched a few highlight vids and I’m sold on poor man’s Bosh.

Seriously though Tyler could be a real player for us in year 2, good to hear he’s already impressing guys in year 1. Yamming it on Giannis off a straight vert is nasty.
