Anthony Edwards Thread: Part Two (Read First Post)

I get the impression Anthony Edwards likes to keep his teammates involved so he's not keen on scoring 30ppg in the regular season, but in the playoffs he scores 30ppg because his teammates struggle so he has to carry them. So will he ever win MVP on the regular season with 26ppg or will he have to get more selfish and score 30ppg to win MVP? Also does Anthony Edwards date fans?!

Is this for real or we are just getting bored waiting for pre season to start? Edwards dating fans? Not sure, but there is an ant farm out there somewhere. We are coming. We are coming. Just one more week before 1st pre season game.

I've dated tennis players (but married a non-tennis player this year) so i assume basketball players date fans too!

Welcome to the Wolves forum Emily! We have a few great Australian posters here too, so you’ll fit right in.

I think you have a good point about Ant scoring, because we have made a strong effort to improve our offense with several players that need to get up shots. Also, following the script of many teams in the NBA, we could see team’s best players, even if they aren’t PG’s, run more and more of the offense, and I would say this is definitely an area where Ant could grow. I am also hopeful he gets in even better shape to run more, because with all his defensive effort and offensive responsibilities, I think he often slows the game down a bit when he brings the ball up the court. We already get defensive stops, so running could boost his scoring.

The way I see it, Edwards has the potential to be the league’s MVP, and he is on a good team to make that happen. He just turned 23, and he’s already so good with so much more upside, I can’t wait to see what he becomes!

He has an infant with his current girlfriend/fiancee but has also allegedly impregnated 2 other women he was not dating that we know about publicly, one of whom was an "instagram model".
So be careful with those photos.
We don't need any more off-court distractions this season.

We play nudist basketball (just for fun, not in a league, but i am in a team in a league butt its clothed) because i just married into a nudist family so ANT might like it if he likes nude women

Thank you Yup Australians are so smart at sport, yup the superstar handles the ball in other teams A LOT so i agree ANT might do that more this season. I guess if we finish ahead of OKC and Denver he might win MVP even if his scoring stays at 26ppg! And even if his assists stay at 5 per game he might be MVP because of All-Defensiveness.

I'm 20 but my wife's 47 and her dad's 72! Most nudists are older because younger people are more material...

I spent a weekend at a nudist colony once. Had to give it a try.

One thing that looks completely different to me now is Edwards offseason. He spent this offseason working on catch and shoot 3s and Olympic games were about how he can be more effective playing as secondary option next to stars.

I mean now after Towns trade, MIN might really benefit if Randle and Edwards can elevate each other game. At least I can see foundation here: Edwards catch and shoot game, Randle passing and mismatch happy offense.

I don't feel his catch and shoot was ever bad. Maybe work on relocate when other players are moving. The biggest thing he needs work on is his passing but that may not be his priority?

Sure, he needs to improve his decision making and off ball movement. But it is hard to do in offseason in gym. Also Edwards is not a natural passer, so it makes sense to improve where he has more talent.

My point is that with Randle playing in the paint and passing the ball, it makes a lot of sense to refine Edwards catch and shoot game.
