Smart would be the PERFECT get. Can start or come off the bench. This team now lacks a bit of playmaking after swapping Julius for KAT. Smart is a little bit of a chaotic offensive player but he's a legitimate good passer. His last 3 years in Boston he averaged nearly 6 assists a game.

Defensively he's obviously great. He's not really a great POA or small guard defender anymore but he's great at guarding up. Knicks will basically be able to switch everything.

I think if they can make this move they absolutely should.

Randle missed half the season and the team finished as the two seed. They limped to within a game away from the ECF. What was so awesome about Randle last season? The 14 games he played with OG?

I don't know if the trade will work but, on paper it makes a ton of sense. Oh well. I am excited to see this team on Sunday so we may have a better idea of what the trade looks like at first glance. I would expect them to take a little time to gel.

Smart wouldn't be bad, but we can't go 2 for 1 anymore. You don't want to end up with counting on multiple second round picks and minimum players to fill rotation spots. Shipping out Mitch and Deuce wouldn't make sense to me.

Because of a 3pt shooter? I'll miss him too but have some faith. We're assigning way too high a value on a skillset Thibs will find once per season. The year before it was Grimes and then he had a sophomore jinx and MF acted like they forgot about Dre.

And difference is I think DVC was more of a vet and perhaps would've maintained it but ya never know. In the role DVC woulda had maybe Shamet can step up.

I’m warming up to the idea of starting Deuce. Having 3 elite defenders in starting lineup could be good. I know Josh Is good and can guard bigger guys. I just think Deuce can also hit the 3 at high clip and guard faster guys. Could get interesting. It did sound like Josh was starting.

Remember Deuce formed a good relationship with Brunson setting picks for him.

You have to start Hart because his rebounding is incredible (8.3 RPG), he gets those assists (4.1 APG), and his style helps the team to get out and put pressure on the defense.

Josh getting a rebound and getting the ball to OG in transition is dangerous. OG has the highest transition FG% of any player in the league scoring 5.0 PPG or more in transition (Giannis and KD are right behind him)

However if Josh is getting cooked on D you can quickly sub him out for Deuce.
