Which is probably why the Raptors didn't sign him. They wanted to be sure he was clear and free first before making any promise. Lakers probably gave a promise on a hope.

Shots fired by Norm. I guess once you've been in the league long enough, you don't bother holding back anymore.

I see Jalen McDaniels picked up where he left off for Sactown in his first preseason game.

Justin Champagnie still hanging on with the Wizards. I didn't see the Raptors Wiz game but just caught replay of Knicks Wizards. Justin looked ok but a very ordinary player, 6'6 or whatever with no standout offensive skills. Always liked him but he must be nearing the end of the line in his career.

McDaniels got traded again to the Spurs.

Kings send McDaniels and a 2nd for cap flexibility.

Malachi gone.

Hard not to make this about management but boy, a lot of these post championship guys are struggling to make a roster.

I was looking at the Grizzlies 23/24 ball reference page and did a double take when I saw age 31 for Biyombo
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

My issue with Flynn was never whiffing on the 29th pick. That pick will only hit like 3% of the time. My issue was keeping him on the roster for 4 years when it is evident very early that he was hopeless. Hope he carves out a nice career overseas, he is still young enough for it.

The trick this season will be to get more of the 3s and perhaps fewer assists.

“The minutes are one thing, but the usage rate is from having the ball in his hands a lot. It makes for a long season that wears those guys down. He can take plays off, be off the ball some, and be the recipient of some assists instead of making them.”

We have Reed, Amen, other guys that can handle. We work through Alpi (Şengün) at times. We don’t have to be dependent on (VanVleet).”

Houston Rockets would love more shots, fewer minutes from Fred VanVleet this season

Déjà vu, FVV is close to the contract year(TO), and is been asking to play offball again.

His role should have always been predominantly off-ball. And I'm sure he'll comply. He has to demonstrate his value in the specific role that competitive teams would slot him in.

Wait, he played for us back in 2015 and is now only 31/32 now? That's wild, I thought he was a very developed player and maybe mid-to-late-twenties while on our roster. Good for him sticking around in the league as long as he has.
