yep. they have great defensive wings and conley even at this age is a better defender than brunson. teams are gonna put towns/brunson in the pnr and cook them.

How long do you think it will take this board to realize KAT should be at the 4?

this board is capable of deluding itself for awhile so who knows. right now in the other thread they're talking about how strong a bench we have .

Towns is playing the 5 here, and that's what he did under thips before.It's gonna be very different and therefore not apples to apples

I agree with this...Hart is an animal as an all around player and then you have OG and Mikal! Period.
Town has never had 4 players in Brunson, Hart/Deuce, OG and Mikal with Thibs before...I cant wait to see

When OG came on board Thibs system became lockdown. It took it to a whole nother level. Randle was a sieve defensively and it didn't matter at that point.

To further that point, we now added Bridges ANOTHER elite wing to the equation.

So look at it like this even if a bit of an oversimplification. We added Bridges and essentially swapped out Randle who was NOT good defensively for another guy in KAT who at worst is probably a wash with Randle defensively.

I think we will be fine. And we have the ability if Towns is absolutely horrible as a rim protector to use Achiuwa (or Mitch when back) there .

Karl is not perfect but kinda like Randle if you use them right they can be big positives for your team.

We should be striving to be the # 1 defensive team in the league with Hart, OG and Bridges in the starting lineup. Towns will not have to lock down the paint, but play solid man and help defense and collectively we will make it hard for teams to get into an offensive rhythm.

If you're a hardcore Thibs supporter, and you're crying about KAT playing at the 5 over playing the 4, you're just complaining about Thibs since he's the one who makes the lineups. If KAT is a 5, it's because Thibs says so.....not KAT.

You would think Thibs fans would give their guy the benefit of the doubt and see what the coach does first, and how it works for the Knicks, before jumping through hoops to indict the decision the coach is about to make.

Focus on easy offense first, then if nothing's going, set up the half court offense and get some ball and player movement going!

Brunson has lead teams to championships. Antman is my guy and I believe he will be one of the faces of the nba-
But he’s not ready yet. Speaking on Kyrie was an undeniably example of that…
Brunson is the main difference- along with Thibs…
Brunson continues to be undervalued…No issue - he’s use to this…

Jordan’s Bulls teams won some chips with stiffs at center, we can get by with 2 guys that fit Thibs system.

Unfortunately, having OG and Hart on the floor at the same times gums up the offense.
