Too early to tell but Payne will play his way out of the lineup IMO. Kolek is very poised for a rookie. He is the anti-Payne who seems like he's having a seizure out there with his movements

Kolek is going to take Payne’s spot if he doesn’t sharpen up. Thibs will give him some rope as the vet but, he’ll make that change eventually.

Kolek comes off different. The eye test is truly remarkable with him. It can't be surmised with anything other than talent. Shades of a young brunson perhaps

We need Deuce’s shooting in the starting lineup, Josh fits better as the sixth man. Better than starting Josh and playing Deuce off the bench as a SF.

Re: Postgame thread: Knicks @ Hornets
Team is lacking that extra high volume 3 point shooter. McBride is good but he’s not a dangerous shooter like divo was. Also the bench looks to small defensively

I kind of against weakening the bench even more. I prefer Precious at the 5 to keep Josh and Deuce at the 1-2 punch off the bench.

We have to do better than Sims
He'll get some boards, but other than that he's a very random player who does nothing to synergize with his teammates

It's ok, you live where the gods dwell. So you don't need to worry about the earthly Knicks. BTW, you live in Trump tower?

Re: Postgame thread: Knicks @ Hornets
Hornets usually have a good offense whenever Lamelo plays. Miller year 2 and the wife beater are both good nba players. They might not be a great but they’ll put up points.
10 points on 7 shots? That’s some elite efficiency from Kat tonight. Offensively we def looked like a team that hasn’t played together before. Kinda wish they played 20 mins today before Thibs pulled the plug. They need more time to form chemistry.
Wonder if we’ll regret giving Payne a real contract? Probably could have given his money to shamet and grabbed some other forward with a vet minimum. I get you wouldn’t want to trust kolek right away but there’s a chance he steals Payne’s job.

Re: Postgame thread: Knicks @ Hornets
Well. That was some sloppy bullshyt.
I knew we weren't gonna have the chemistry out of the gate. That is what we gave up most in this trade. Starting over with an offensive center is going to take time as well. If we could have had Mitch out there I think it might look closer to what we had. I also don't like Hart with the starters. Anyway.
Deuce is gonna take that leap we all hoped for. You can see he worked on things this summer.
Shamet looked decent. Nice depth piece.
Kolek is so damn tiny! He should play over Cam if he can keep this up.
Did Bridges play tonight?
OG looks fat.
KAT does things Randle could only dream of but, this is gonna take time.
Cam sucks.
Sims sucks.
Precious is Precious. Glad we kept him but, he's trade fodder most likely.
We literally have ONE player from the starting lineup last year. Brunson has to learn how to run an entire new lineup...again. I expect bumps and bruises. They also won't be playing the same way. Shart leaving and Mitch being hurt changed everything about the team. Let's see what Thibs can do with this squad. Leon still has some work to do though because we are thin and need a real backup 5. Sims ain't it and never will be anything more than trade filler.
Mitch sucks.

Re: Postgame thread: Knicks @ Hornets
Didn't watch the game.
It is nice to see Kolek picking up where he was left from summer league.
We really need couple of rookies to make the rotation.
It is just one preseason game.
Let's give some time.
