2024-2025 Rotation/Minutes
If it was up to you, and assuming all our guys are healthy
Cade-36/Sasser-12
Ivey-30/Beasley-18
Ausar-26/Holland-22
Tobias-28/Simone-20
Duren-28/Stew-20
With our guards, not only do I expect JB to stagger Cade and Ivey, but hopefully the latter plays more with the ball in his hands with Beasley and Sasser off the ball (with Cade, too). They are shooting guards in a point guard's body. I'd have THJ and Reed there for foul trouble, injuries, etc.

Re: 2024-2025 Rotation/Minutes
I doubt JB goes 10 deep. This is what I think the rotation is (rather than what I want it to be):
Duren (28)/Stewart (20)
Tobias (32)/Fontecchio (10)/Stewart (6)
Fontecchio (16)/Holland (20)/THJ (12)
Ivey (18)/Beasley (22)/THJ (8)
Cade (34)/Ivey (14)
I can also see Reed getting some PF minutes too (with less for Fontecchio/Stewart).

12 guys that all could get minutes.
Trade 3 for 1 and have 10 guys

Yeah, I can't stand guys just being paid to sit, especially if they have some skills.. Luckily, Gores said something like this a few months ago, which sounded like he was referring to Joe Harris.

Re: 2024-2025 Rotation/Minutes
Trade deadline trade THJr+Beasley for CJ McCollum. Helps their cap situation. Gives us another vet under contract for 1 more year. Him, Tobias, Reed, Fontecchio all go into next season as expirings. Can make another bigger move then.
Duren Stew Ausar Holland Ivey Cade 2025lotto pick plus that move equals a nice 8man rotation

I think CJ is being asked to come off the bench. I still doubt they'd trade him and why would they want those guys though.

Well, just to get off his final year. Theyd be just as competitive this year amd then have more flexibility next year. They have to sign Ingram and can't afford all their guys.

Re: 2024-2025 Rotation/Minutes
I'm so happy Ausar has been cleared.. If it was up to me, I wouldn't take Holland out of the rotation. He could be an energy guy, maybe a few less minutes. I don't remember a guy who only played the first half, but he'd probably be able to get 2nd half action due to a blowout. Maybe foul trouble, injury.
So far this year
Cade - 36.1
Tobias - 32.8
Ivey - 32.2
THJ - 29.3
Beasley - 26.4
Duren - 23.3
Stew - 22.5
SImone - 18.5
Holland - 14.4
If it was up to me..
Cade-36/Ivey-12
Ivey-20/Beasley-28
THJ-24/Ausar-20/Holland-4
Tobias-28/Simone-18/Ausar-2
Duren-28/Stew-20
It's tough. You don't want to mess with a starting line-up with our better than expected record (tough schedule, too).. I would just play Holland a 4 minute run in the 1st half, and then the 2nd if it's possible. I don't see Ausar getting many minutes, and this is just what I'd like as an average. I might have even reduced THJ a little more, or even had him off the bench, but I think it could mess with chemistry, and mess with his head since he's shown to be inconsistent. Either he shoots this good, or he shoots like pre-season. But if we start losing badly, I would throw in Ausar, who can have his minutes staggered with Holland, but Ausar is a good passer, and I'd like to see more dunks, or fouls drawn. We're better defensively, and will get better defensively with Ausar, so I'd like to run more. We're a young team - we're not going to be a great half-court offensive team.. And we could cut down on all these turnovers.

Re: 2024-2025 Rotation/Minutes
The one thing about Ausar is he can play anywhere and defend anywhere so minutes will pop up for him.
PG: Cade 36 / Ivey 12
SG: Ivey 18 / Beasley 22 / Holland 8
SF: THJr 22 / Ausar 22 / Holland 4
PF: Harris 30 / Font 18
C: Duren 24 / Stew 24
I don't think that's an unreasonable answer. I know historically our coach hasn't run many 10 man lineups but something like this does give everyone plenty of rest. Harris really doesn't deserve more than 30 a night until he starts making some threes at a reasonable clip.

even if they're not exactly the same player, ausar and holland will play the same role. it seems like that lineup would do it's best to cut minutes from all of the other *better* players to save holland's minutes which are redundant if ausar is playing.
holland will get his minutes when injuries inevitably come, you don't have to force them. doesn't make sense to sacrifice putting out competitive lineups just to serve 12 minutes a game to one player.

Up to this point, Holland has been averaging 14 MPG.

Which is my point. In your proposed rotation holland plays 12 mpg, so he’s only getting 2 mpg less while Ausar’s other 20 minutes are coming from better players.

Yeah, it really comes down to whether or not its a priority for the organization to continue letting Holland II develop out on the court even if it means some better vets are getting a little less time. At this point, I could see either option happen. We know for sure the old guard(Weaver) would have made sure his top 5 rookie was getting playing time but perhaps Bickerstaff isn't getting any direction from TL on this and will simply bench Holland II for the time being.

Re: 2024-2025 Rotation/Minutes
Holland is an energy guy.. If he was a 3-pt specialist, he might need more time to get a rhythm, but I wouldn't take Holland out, but take a few minutes from a couple of other guys. THJ. I just wonder what JB does when his shot goes cold. I know a coach has to take into consideration confidence, but I think you gotta go with the hot hand, unless we're winning, and then you probably don't wanna mess with anything.
I wonder how long it is before Ausar actually plays. I keep looking at the ESPN injury.
