I’m not worried about Deuce or Josh’s roles. They’ll be bench players by the end of the season if we’re healthy.

For all the Kolek talk, it’s Pacome’s role we need to be worried about, esp if OG is going to be playing as a 4… previous will be important too.

I don't even know why we even drafted Dadiet. Didn't we want him to stay in Europe?

Kolek's calling card is his passing game. He led the NCAA in assists. So I guess you mean if he develops more, but his passing skills are already more advanced than most NBA guards. He should get better with pro experience, but he's already well above average as a distributor.

And we know he can shoot too. On offense, he is already legit.

Anyway, he appears to have a shot at being a Nash or Stockton quality distributor.

Nash was not much of a defender, but he was considered a great PG.

It feels like Phil drafting Frank. He's more like an idea than an actual thing.

I predicted that people will want Thibs fired because he gives minutes to Cam instead of Vanilla Brunson and that is why.

Starters still some gelling tp happen, give them some time but of course, Knicks fans are about as patient as a sugar fueled toddler so...yea

No need to be all judgy - predicting kolek to have a similar career to a 2x mvp is a fairly reasonable take after 1 preseason game.

I'm confused by this reply, like all of it, are you on mushrooms? Then it makes sense.

He plays a lot like John Stockton. That does not mean he'll come close to those levels.

Let's not torture each other for comping new players to former HOFers. It is a template, nothing more, not a prediction.

What I did predict is he will play, he has a clutch vibe and he will make his teammates better.

What is fair to say is he's one of the nicest passers to wear a Knicks uniform in a very long time.

You must like what you see though. It looks like a unanimous consensus he's a baller and he should be in the rotation.

Too much with the Nash comp. I’ll be happy if Kolek is even Tyus Jones level of PG.

Deuce 4-9
Shamay 4-8
TK 3-5

Knicks got a fleet of snipers off the bench to replace Divo's production and they are in 3 different style of players for different situational deployment. Cam is going to be the one who gets the hate from fans, there's always one role player that is the target of their ire and it's him.

After this brief display I am now less concerned about the bench guard shooting and scoring but the Knicks really do need a bench forward scoring option, Precious can score but he's not the type of guy who can just rip it from deep and really fill it up, maybe it's Warren?

Sims looks weird in 20...wtf is that all about?

I'm thinking starting Towns, Precious, OG, Bridges, and JB is the way to go with Hart, McBride, Shamet, and Sims (Mitch Rob later) off the bench. One of Towns or Precious is always in the game. Kolek gets some spot minutes here and there.

A comp is more about the way the play, not the level they have reached.

Anyway, Nash didn't blow the league away when he first entered it either.

It is simply that Kolek has already a well-developed passing game that could end up being elite. Again, he led the nation in assists. This is not a stretch to say he may already be an advanced distributor.

Towns displayed post passing skills that should replace that aspect of iHart's game pretty well.

It was pretty much as I suggested several days ago when I said KAT will have a better passing game with his back to the basket compared to Randle whose passing was mostly going downhill or to bail out from double team coverage.

Don’t want to put a ceiling on our rookie, but this is done every year with our young prospects. Comparisons with HoF players. I’m saying temper the expectations. Just hopeful that our rookie can be a solid backup PG. If he can be Tyus Jones on Memphis level, that would be the perfect backup to have. He was also an advanced distributor coming out of college and it took him a few years to get acclimated.
