GTJ will be recognized by most as our 3rd best player before the end of the year. Similar to how Jrue was - contributing on both ends and being an X factor more often than not

Does Khris get traded in this scenario?

I think that ship has sailed. It's more about GTJ.. looked dynamic and switched on. Hope that arm is ok.

The team is back in MKE. Nothing released about GTJ. I suppose with no regular season games for a couple of weeks they don't need to be forthcoming with injuries.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Since when does the regular season mean this team provides detailed injury reports?!

Please someone on here who knows hows the G league works please explain this im confused

Classic weird G League trade today. The Herd acquired the rights to Sam Merrill and a fourth round pick for the rights to Elijah Hughes.

Sam Merrill doesn't appear likely to play for the Herd anytime soon -- he's under contract with the Cavs and a rotation player there

Here is my hot take rating of players based on last year and last night.

1. Giannis
2. Dame
3. Khris
4. Brook
5. GTJ
6. Bobby
7. Prince
8. Pat C.
9. Delon Wright

Now we come to guys who at the moment appear unplayable on a contender or a different definition would be guys we need Giannis on the court with them to try to hold serve against the Bulls or Charlotte

10. AJ Green
11. Marjon
12. Andre Jackson Jr.
13 Livingston
14. AJ Johnson
15. Tyler Smith

Numbers 7-9 guys are marginal but playable. Guys 10-15 are a mess. Someone has to emerge there. Going to the other thread, I'd put PJ Tucker at 9 right now if he joined this roster. He can at least defend positions 3-5 at a average level.

You tend to be a prisoner of the moment. Players are their averages & you can make some projections off trajectory.

Jackson showed more than Marjon last yr. Marjon hasn't done anything to pass him, even if Jackson's underwhelmed since. If anything Livingston's probably passed him, & maybe a couple other guys, off trajectory.

And Green was already playable last year, at least in the regular season. Now he has a year more of experience & reportedly had a great offseason. I doubt he's regressed.

It was 1 game and in the preseason at that. We need the sample expanded, ideally we'd see them in competitive situations, & most were brought in to play around our big 3. Let's have these things that happen before jumping to strong conclusions.

GTJ is our 6th or 7th best player. Maybe 8th.

If you're using last year, why did you put a couple of below replacement level players (GTJ, Prince) behind Wright? Last time Wright was on the floor he was kicking butt in the playoffs, shooting 60% from 3 while playing lock down defense.

If Merrill falls out of the NBA, we have his G League rights. The deal was just about giving Hughes a new start.

Maybe 8th ... bring that same energy to the prediction thread next week... that take is going to age like warm sour cream.

My cold take rating our players based on my basketball knowledge ...

Giannis
Dame
Portis
Khris
GTJ
Wright
AJ Green
Prince
Brook
... the rest are randoms

We are fortunate enough to have 3 players GTJ, Wright and AJ Green competing, shooting the 3 well while being competent on D. Khris is a killer but his is just a cone defensively, same for Brook.
We either stagger Khris and Brook's minutes with the 2nd squad and on crunch time or we fail again.

H O R S T ... don't.you dare trade Portis ... we got jinxed by abandoning PJ Tucker, if we trade Portis who is Bucks soul right now ... we will never see the Bucks on Finals like ever.

Delon is there to play perimeter D and hit wide open corner threes. He's far better at both things than say a PJ Tucker, even if PJ wasn't old as ****.

We still need a different big next to Giannis. Hope that's in the works, the Latvian dude aint it

I got Terence Davis rocketing up my rankings now that I've just learned we've signed him.

Saw Bucks were doing more media yesterday for video packages and GTJ was in it and looked fine. Unless the video is old and they just put it out yesterday, seems like the elbow is good now.

FWIW, I thought Umude looked active out there, and he's got some decent lateral quickness for his size. And if Terence Davis is healthy, then that's two more solid wing options that I'd rather have with Marjon's roster spot.

The 2 young guys that Horst didn't draft, Umude and Rollins, understand the game. Horst draft picks don't.
