Welp, my vote was wrong. Shows how much I know. Guess I can make the excuse that it’s my rookie season too!!

I’m glad there will be a new champ though.

Curious who do yall think had the bigger impact in the series, Ionescu or Stewart.

Sabrina had 17.8/6.0/4.3 with 3.5 turnovers per game on 48.1/48.0/87.5 splits (61.7 TS%)
Stewart had 21.8/8.0/4.5 with 2.3 turnovers per game on 44.4/29.4/81.8 splits (53.2 TS%)

Stewart didnt have crazy stock numbers but I think she has the defensive advantage pretty clearly

Stewie plays a bit like KG out there. Big long player that is so versatile. Very high Bball IQ, and I can tell she's competitive af.

That being said,

Sabrina was the heart and soul of that series. She not only played great, but she was the engine that got the crowd and her teammates going almost every time.

Again this is only an analysis based on the series, I quickly learned how special Breanna Stewart is.

Sabrina isn't the best Liberty player but she was the delta. Last year she scored only 9.8 ppg on the Finals against the Aces. This season she was a different player and that flipped the scales.

Liberty have 3 homes losses this year (not counting the last game where they didn't try).

1 to the Lynx.

The other 2 were to Marina Mabrey (1 with CHI, 1 with CON).

Lynx-Liberty would certainly seem to be the more compelling matchup, but despite the 10-2 record the Liberty have against the Sun lately, maybe Sun-Liberty would be closer series than expected with Mabrey.

I mean… I have a hot take MDB may not like… I think both these teams right now are slightly better.

Rooting hard for the Lynx tonight though.

I’m betting on Lynx again tonight.
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

Stewie and Jonquel being animals inside defensively held the Aces at bay.

But Sabrina being stronger and better this season was the X factor imo. Let's also not forget that having a starting 5 with Leo and Betnijah makes a huge difference from last year.

I'm scared of the Lynx. The Sun, not as much due to match ups. They have nothing for Jonquel inside

I agree with you, it’s just the addition of Marina Mabrey seems massive for that team.

It is a massive addition because they needed that presence at SG.

However, South Jersey's finest, Marina Mabrey, will have to deal with Mrs. Lainey-Hamilton.

You caught me! I was trying a reverse jinx.

For you and hermes, along with Phee and the crew of course, I'd love to see the Lynx advance.

But deep down, after a few cold pops of truth serum, I'd really love to see the Sun win. Phee is going to get more chances. I don't see many chances left for Bonner and AT.

And it burns me up to root against the Lynx. Alanna Smith should have been an all-star, dammit!

Both teams looked poised and prepared. This is gonna be a heavyweight fight that goes the full 12 rounds and I'm here for it.

Lynx got their claws out on defense. That usually leads to good places.
