I know it is just one game. But it is optimism. Since last year's playoff appearance and now this season returning everybody plus KCP and the rookie.

Why not some good optimism?

Imagine that, AB is good at playmaking.
Compared to what we've seen things may be slowing down for the kid.... As opposed to how sped up Suggs seems to look at times

Look I'm not negative on the season. I think the Magic will be a decent team again. However, its very clear that Gary Harris, KCP and Suggs are all variations of the same player. Yes, KCP is a championship player...but lets be honest he had little to do with it. He had about as much to do with it as Deshawn Stevenson had to do with the Mavs in 2011.

AB is pretty much the only PG on the team. And arguably should be the one getting these reps. Suggs is awesome but I don't think he's magically going to be something he has not been at all in the NBA so far.

If we stick with this SL, yes we will win defensively (and lets be clear, the Magic weren't even going 75% in that preseason game) and most of the action will have to be Paolo and Franz offensively. But I think AB is a very, very important piece and should start developing now. I personally would start AB and Suggs, and I understand they simply won't do that unless injuries make it happen.

I agree 100%. If you want Franz and Paolo setting the table then a backcourt of Suggs and KCP or Harris is fine. Otherwise you need AB.

Black will struggle worse than Suggs did in the first preseason game if you stick him on the basketball and tell him to run offense in the halfcourt.

He is not ready for that in any respect. His ball handling and confidence in his ball handling just aren't there. And understandably so as he's only 20 years old still.

I already made a bet that I'm basically certain to win that Cole is gonna have the ball more than Black.

What more can I do?

Join the AB bandwagon before it's too late. That is your only real choice.

Black seems to be progressing. He will either explode or give us the gradual experience we desire.
