It's about bragging rights for me too, that's why the thread is perfect. It gives us a place to brag about our victory to everyone.

Just because you and I have gotten into it a hand full of times over the past few years doesn't mean I hate or dislike you. I hope we are over that crap.

*cheers to you

This is all fun and games to me, not that serious. We had a 4 win season not long ago, it happens. And if it did this season I'd make that thread with a smile on my face. :D

Just trying to make this season more interesting. Me and you are always on the opposite ends in terms of outlook. So why not put something fun on the line?

Its because you believe and have faith in Jerry, I don't and never have. Its taken me a bit but I'm starting to understand the reason why. You are so much younger than me. You grew up in the 90's and Jerry and his way is all you and the younger Cowboys know. You have nothing else to compare it too like me and all the other old guard Cowboy fans. Its hard to really understand what the star on the helmet really means unless you have lived through it.

This season I just have faith that they will win more than 5 games. Hence the wager.

After last season, combined with a poor off season, I don't think there are many who believe we will do better than 12-5 and a playoff loss. I think that's our ceiling.

BUT...I definitely believe we will win more than 5 lol

So, with that said, since neither of us believe they will be winning a ring this year. Lets have fun with it and make the bet.

Cowboys haven't done anything to change my mind after last week's performance and the winless Ravens coming in this week. Have we even beaten the Ravens in our history? Can't run the ball and can't stop the run. That usually spells disaster.

Might as well make this the season thread.

This team sucks.

Last season was their peak.

This season it's a quasi-rebuild.

Lower the expectations for the Cowboys this season.

My expectation of a 7-10 record remains steadfast.

I think Cowboys get 10 wins this season.

But anything can happen in the playoffs.

Basically I'm expecting an average regular season and not sure what to expect in the playoffs.

They win 6+ games I get your avy for 1 year, they win 5 or less you can have mine.

Only way Cowboys win 6 or more games is if the defense can stay healthy and Zimmer can turn the defense around.

Okay, so it's a bet then?

You should have no expectations. There will be no playoffs this year. :wizard:

3-2…

I honestly expected 2-3 - especially with the injuries on defense.

Let’s see how they handle the fighting Dan Campbells...

They’ve already exceeded my expectations (and predicted wins) for the first 9 games. I predicted a 2-7 record by game 9.

The run defense looked a whole lot better last night. Now was that because of Zimmer’s scheme or was it because probably the two biggest “hero ball” players we have were out of the game? Talking about DLaw and Micah by the way.

Trust me - the exact same thought crossed my mind as yesterday rolled by.

This week’s game will be a good test of our theory. Disciplined Defense will be important.

Just enjoy the ride.

Who knows, maybe the Cowboys will surprise us this time around.

The win in Pittsburgh shocked me.They made a good decision in not caring about the run,and doing just short passes, and surprised the Steelers when they did run the ball.A team with a good offense like Detroit will be a lot tougher, but its at least interesting again for the time being.

Yep…

12 games left.

Let’s play them and see what happens.

Boys just need to go 7-5 and it's 10 wins.

I’m fully expecting Detroit to open up a can on the Cowboys this weekend.

We'll see.

If the Lions don't get more than a 100 yards on the ground then I like the Cowboys' chances.
