Almost certainly old news only coming out now. Neither Knicks nor Mavs have salaries to trade anymore outside of their core pieces. I think he ends up on the Pelicans or Rockets eventually.

At this point it's best for us to wait for a desperate team (injuries) or one that thinks they have a chance to compete to maximize our return.

If they couldnt get a 2024 first last year, they certainly are not trading Bruce this year. Even at the deadline, I dont see any real trade going down. It would have to be equal expiring contracts and future late picks.

I was never looking at Mavs and Lakers as a trading partner due to their lack of assets last year, and they may attach negative contract.

Well no one is offering REAL value for Brown. That much should be clear.

Rui Hachimura + Gabe Vincent + ‘25 LAC 2nd

If Masai thinks Rui can develop into a 3/4 starter, that’s a good deal. The Clippers 2nd is probably in the mid 40s.

This will also make the Lakers into major free agency players next offseason, as Brown and DLo both expire.

I think we already knew a team was willing to trade a first last year for brown, just with contracts that went longer than a year. Well, we're on the hook for this year, or whoever we're getting in a trade regardless, for this year anyways.

It's just good to know you're valued, or your assets, while diminishing, still retain societal value. Very comforting.

Its not a total horrible offer depending on how you value Podz and Kuminga. But this would be a rebuild deal and Lillard would have to go as well. Lillard, Podz and Kuminga get you no where. Maybe another first or so to Milwaukee.

I thought the reports were that they absolutely could get a 1st last year but didn't want another one. Which is supported by them already trading away the extra 1st they had. Clearly didn't want to invest another 1st round contract on that draft class, grabbing a few 2nd rounders instead.

I strongly suspect their hope is to be able to swap Brown at the deadline to a contender for a late 1st in this year's draft and I don't think that's crazy. But obviously nothing is given either, have to see if a need shakes out over the course of the season.
