Par for the course with this team, always something that has these players “behind”

The McRoberts curse has been haunting this franchise. Need a exorcism.

This was actually a good 1st preseason game. The Heat didn't look sloppy at all

Only way he starts is if Jovic continues to play so poorly. This team still lacks a true center of any real ability.

I don't know. I like Jovic but ware on court with bam will be domination and matchup nightmare. Jovic looks like he did last season.

He had 9/2/3 in 16 mins and was +12.

Not sure what else you're looking for from Niko really.

People are looking to sh*t on him. Not sure where or why it happened, but it's a popular narrative on here

Bam-Jovic PnRs (both ways); Bam 3s; Jovic rim pressure & kick-outs; Jovic/Bam pushing in transition. Beautiful stuff between these two that we should only see more of as they each should be expanding their offensive game this season. This is a very dynamic young frontcourt. Bring Ware along and in due time, Miami can have the most dynamic 96 minutes per game of frontcourt basketball in the NBA.

He should be the 1st option unless Jimmy plans on going ham this season to prove a point, especially after adding the 3 ball which continues to look like a serious addition since he started taking them the last 2 months of last season.

As for the tweet, I hope it is a huge breakout year offensively but personally I’m skeptical after seeing his shot attempts drop to 11-12 a game after trading for Terry

Yeah I think some people's biases are showing here. Jovic didn't look bad at all lol

Anybody know where Jimmy was? The bench was up and he wasn’t anywhere to be seen.

I enjoyed the big-3 era....but honestly I have had more baskestball enjoyment watching the Heat find these guys and try to mold them over the last 5 years or so.

my favorite time of the year is when we showcase these guys in summer league or what not....

I think these young guys look great, and it is going to be awesome watching them come on up around Bam...and even Jimmy if we can get him to stick around... Jimmy is hella likable when he is not loafing around.

There’s no way you enjoyed watching the improvement of Duncan Robinson, Caleb Martin, and Haywood Highsmith over our franchise goat, the literal goat, and a lesser version of Bam winning championships

yeah I did....

I liked the big 3 era... but yeah amigo....I enjoy the home grown approach more.... I want to watch this team battle in the finals....but my enjoyment is not tied to champion or bust....hell I enjoy Sioux Falls games a ton, watching and wondering if dudes could help the Heat...

If you ever stumble across old posts from me, they are probably going to be me rooting for some unsung guy... celebrating some minor (in the grand scheme of things) play....that is why I watch sports...

If they are in a Heat jersey I will root for them, but they don't have to be Lebron James for me to have a really good time watching the game....

I think most the posters here would say the same thing.....sure most posters might want to swing big and land a stud...but they still come by here, season after season....

I completely get it, fans invest more personally to players that they've researched before they've come into the league (when being drafted by the team they follow), had the hopes of them reaching their potential and watching their struggles to become the players they end up being, it's what I truly miss as a fan of a team and it's why I've also followed Butler from Chicago to Miami (since I realized the team is an extension of their management which is why I quit being a Chicago fan).

I won't just root for a player in a specific jersey, even when I was a Bulls fan, but I get where you're coming from.

I got you ds and airp... Homegrown Players feel a bit more like family and that we had something to do With their development... Plus they play their asses of when they are young to prove a point

Free agents Feel like payed hands... like A scab Or A Mercenary... Who you know Has the Capability of being double-faced... changing teams...He has done it before

But man, you have to consider that most of these guys are 2 faced Once they have been in the league 5 years...Their word is not worth Much... They are just dummies, mostly care about the money... Maybe like most of us in Society.

So I suggest that when you watch, cut These guy's a break... Watch The End product... And realize the Winner probably got lucky

Do you feel the same way for UDFA like Duncan and Vincent or an undeveloped free agent that the Heat acquired like Nunn, Martin and Strus who were on another roster before the Heat?

Barracking for an UDFA or 2nd rounder is like investing in a start up that everyone told you was a stupid idea, and that goes well.

Barracking for a 1st round pick is like investing in a start up that had some risk, but made sense.

Picking a player off the scrap heap that became something significant is like buying stock on something where it's stock price was plummeting and the company then completely shifted their focus to become profitable.

Signing a significant FA is like buying performing stock that stays steady or improves a little.
