#2) Mitch, Dadiet, 2nd rounder for Herb Jones and Daniel Theis

I like me those 3&D wings that could learn from Bridges and OG and contribute now off the bench (Dadiet is years off).

I'd take either. Sold. :eyebrows:

I've been hot after Adams and Eason for a minute. Herb Jones would be amazing, but... I think your #1 option is underrated. The added size would be great and I think both players would be difference makers.

Sounds like both those teams are going to try things out with their current rosters for a few months before tinkering... it's not like Mitch would be available to play until January anyway so I doubt we make any trades until after Dec. 15th (when some of our roster guys become eligible for trade--like Precious).

Steven Adams played with both Durant and JJJ. I think he'd mesh well with KAT in stretches. KAT and Adams are really good passers at their size. I can see them playing off each other. Adam's size, toughness and offensive rebounding would be huge.

Eason is a really good versatile defender and has a serious motor. He's got that Junkyard Dog DNA in him.

I would probably pull the trigger on:

Mitch
Dadiet
Sims
2025 Wizards 1st round pick
3 second round picks

For

Grant Williams
Nick Richards

But I doubt the Hornets would.

Let’s hold off on trading Dadiet until we actually see him play. We don’t know what we have with him.

Yeah, we just don't have many assets. The wizards pick will turn into two second rounders.

Dadiet is the one carrot you can dangle and is he going to be better than Grant Williams? Maybe, but Williams could replace Hart in the starting lineup or be a key bench piece. He can also defend multiple positions.

And Richards will likely backup Towns, but could play next to him as well.

I know the type of player Dadiet is, but I don’t know much about his ceiling. Richards certainly is a nice center.

I don’t see much difference.

the difference is when he picks up the ball under the basket… its much easier to get a lift when you are going downhill in a fast break or driving/cutting in motion

Washington is capped at the first apron. So they can take on more than they give back in a trade. The real question would be what would it take? I'm sure Washington would love to get their pick back because if they do well this lottery there is a good chance they will end up with something like the 9th worst record next year (roughly where the Bulls will be this season). On average teams with the 9th worst record finish with about 28 to 29 wins.

And even if they don't, those two seconds are very valuable now. The apron rules mean that picks in the low 30s are much more valuable than picks in the high 20s.

But would you trade Mitch and that pick for JV? If Mitch comes back even at the level he was at in the playoffs, he's still more valuable protecting the rim than JV would be.

Trading our newly drafted first round pick for a backup 15 min center is idiotic and Richards would never start

McBride and McCullar going to make everyone forget IQ and Grimes ever existed.

Dadiet will unfortunately keep the memories of Knox and Frank very much alive

I love how the very first play is Hukporti stealing the ball.

So you're going to ignore Grant Williams who is 25 years old, on a good contract and is a good fit for us (can even start instead of Hart). Got it.
